SOVEREIGN WIRADJURI MAN ARRESTED ON HIS OWN LANDS.
Radio RATA reporting…the Central Western Daily has reported on Paul Towney’s ongoing court case against not just Charles Sturt University, but the Crown. Uncle Paul, a Sovereign man of the Wiradjuri Nation is attempting to do the opposite to what Koiki Mabo did in his famous case…rather than provide evidence of his and Wiradjuri Peoples sovereignty to this 2000-acre property, he is demanding the Crown provide evidence of it being ceded, in writing.
Paul claims that no Wiradjuri have ever signed away their Sovereignty, and that Martial Law, declared by Governor Brisbane in the 1820’s, was never undeclared - despite First Nations people not being British Subjects, nor people for that matter.
