00:00Well, we are dealing with what might be our last real cold snap of winter-like temperatures.
00:04Another cold night tonight, back well below freezing,
00:07and then temperatures are warming up with just some minor precip chances this week.
00:21So it's pretty chilly this morning. Mid-20s across much of southern Minnesota. 25 at MSP
00:26is the coldest morning in two weeks. Yeah, I gotta go back to March. Just around 10 in Graham
00:31Ray for morning temperatures. And wind chills. We still had a little bit of a breeze. We're
00:35sub-zero. Pockets of this grayish-green color up along the international border this morning. And
00:42teens in the Twin Cities. And we're gonna have one more cold night tonight. After a chilly day
00:45today, we've got cold high pressure probably struggling to just reach around 40 in the Twin
00:49Cities and parts of southern Minnesota. But most of the state will see highs in the 30s, especially
00:54central northern Minnesota. Just upper 20s into the Arrowhead. But again, Twin Cities and some
00:59points here in south-central Minnesota right near 40. And these are below normal by about 10 to 15
01:03degrees below normal. Normal highs range from the low 50s here in southern Minnesota to the low to
01:09mid-40s in northeastern Minnesota. And another cold night tonight. Might even be a couple degrees
01:13colder for some places. I think single-digit lows in northeastern Minnesota to teens and 20s here
01:19as we go further south. But already jumping up those temperatures by about 10 degrees tomorrow.
01:23Upper 40s to near 50 in the Twin Cities. I think we will see low 50s in southwestern Minnesota.
01:28And much quieter week overall. We are gonna have a disturbance make its way towards us here midweek
01:34Wednesday into Thursday. A little cloudier. But it'll also be warmer. And just some spotty rain
01:38showers here Wednesday and Thursday. Very hit and miss. Not amounting to much. Might mix with some
01:44snow showers in northern Minnesota of course where it's colder. But you can see just very
01:47spotty showers possible late Wednesday. And then again especially late Thursday. And again maybe
01:53mixing with some brief pockets of snow. Especially any showers that come through in the early morning
01:58or overnight hours when those temperatures are colder. But seven day total precip. Pretty pitiful
02:04here. Tenth of an inch or less for most of us. So a quieter week. A chance to dry out and settle
02:10down after what's been an active few weeks. So we've got this potent blast of cold for really
02:15just a 36 hour period moving out of here. And that'll be replaced by anomalous warmth again by
02:20the weekend. Back to normal temperatures mid to late week. But we're gonna be above it. Well above
02:25it by Saturday and Sunday. So spring fever will be back by Sunday. I think we'll see low 70s across
02:30much of southern Minnesota. 60s here by Friday and Saturday. So things will be warming up in the
02:35six to ten day temperature outlook. Calling for a high likelihood of that warmth building back
02:40into Minnesota and the whole central U.S. And probably below normal precip for most of us.
02:45Though northern Minnesota may be staying a little more active here. But again we're looking at
02:49fairly minor systems rather than big storms like we've been seeing kind of weekly here for the last
02:54few weeks or so. There are those temperatures warming up and you can say kind of staying there
02:59next week into the 60s. So we might be turning that corner to spring. Usually happens sometime
03:03in April where we eventually turn to a consistently warmer pattern rather than dealing with more
03:09wintry weather. But today pretty chilly. Still a breeze too. North winds at 10 to 15. Means that it
03:14will feel more like the 20s and low 30s all day. But warmer tomorrow after a cold start. 24 degrees
03:20tomorrow morning. 50 for the high. Close to 60 Wednesday. More clouds around Wednesday, Thursday
03:26and again some spotty showers. Should be brighter as we head into Friday and Saturday. Back into the
03:3160 degree plus territory. Sunday 71 but a few more clouds. Maybe a stray shower. Again that system
03:38also looks like a fairly minor disturbance at this point.
