00:03A Chesterfield teenager is stealing herself for a skydive later this month, as she looked
00:08to raise funds and awareness to support people with the same condition that caused her sister's
00:13tragic death.
00:15Stone Gravels resident Mia Kiernan would jump from the skies near Nottingham on April 19th,
00:21marking her 18th birthday, which she always imagined as a big night out with her sister
00:25Faith who would have turned 22 a few days earlier.
00:29Mia, who is a hairdressing student at Chesterfield College said, this was one of Faith's goals
00:34but she couldn't ever achieve it.
00:37Faith died last September in what has been recorded as a sudden unexpected death in epilepsy,
00:43having been diagnosed with epilepsy at the age of 13.
00:46Mia added, for someone her age she lost a lot, that's one of the reasons we're raising
00:51money for Epilepsy Action to help people get the support and understanding that they need.

01:06Pupils and staff at Brimmington Primary School have said a fond farewell to a well-liked
01:10headteacher who became a beloved part of the school's history.
01:14Nick Newbury, the headteacher at Brimmington Junior School, left the primary at the end
01:18of the term on Friday, following 15 years of bringing positivity and inclusivity to
01:23all staff and children.
01:25Not only is it a farewell to the much-respected headteacher, but it's also goodbye to his
01:29beloved school dog Flossie.
01:32The school staff say that Flossie the Cockapoo has become an integral part of life at Brimmington
01:36Juniors.
