00:00Hey Scott, last week we talked about the top offensive players coming out of the transfer
00:04portal. Gonna head on over to defense this week. I got a handful of guys I'm gonna try to get
00:10through. Gonna begin off the edge with Damon Wilson, the second former Georgia Bulldog now at
00:17Missouri. I think he's got a shot to be one of the top pass rushers in the country now that he's out
00:23of Athens. It's easy to get kind of get lost in the shuffle in Georgia. So much talent, so many
00:29four and five star players. Damon Wilson was looking to kind of have that spotlight to himself.
00:35I think he's going to have that at Missouri. 6'3", 245, scratched the surface of his potential last
00:41year. Great speed off the edge, long arms, terrific pass rusher. Now he's going to bookend Scottie
00:48with Zion Young in Columbia. Stays in the SEC, so he's going to have that big spotlight. But I think
00:55there's going to be more reps, more opportunities to get sacks. Love Damon Wilson at Missouri.
01:01Interesting for Missouri, they pick up the veteran, they lose the future. Williams Waneri,
01:08the top pass rusher in the 2024 high school recruiting class, five star blue chipper,
01:13decides to leave Mizzou and go to Nebraska. Matt Rule continues to secure big time talent. He gets
01:20Dylan Raiola in 2024 on offense. This year he gets Williams Waneri, 6'7", 255. I think he can have a
01:28breakout season as well. Now let's head to the secondary. One of my favorite safeties, Dylan
01:33Thienemann from Purdue. Nobody really knows the kid because he was playing at Purdue. It was a
01:40mess over the past couple of seasons. But Thienemann was a freshman All-American in 2023,
01:45six interceptions, led the Boilermakers in tackles the past two years, playing at an
01:52All-American level, but nobody knows it. Now he goes to Oregon. He gets a big spotlight. He gets
01:58an opportunity to not only prepare like a champion, has a great work ethic, but actually win
02:03titles at Oregon. I love what Dan Lanning continues to do in the secondary through the portal.
02:09Year after year, he gets Thienemann safety. He gets Theron Johnson this year from Northwestern,
02:15all Big Ten cornerback. So he continues to rebuild that Ducks secondary on the fly through
02:21the portal. One more out of the secondary, Scott Takario Davis out of Arizona. I thought he would
02:27be a first or second round draft choice later this month for the NFL draft. Decides to stay in school
02:34and join forces with his former Arizona coach Jed Fish. Fish now in his second season at Washington,
02:40picks off Takario Davis, 6'4", 190, ball hawk, great length. I think he's going to fit in very
02:48well at Washington. A program I like a lot this offseason. Watch the Huskies year two in the Big
02:54Ten. Could be a big season for Jed Fish in Washington up in Seattle.
