00:00Hey, I want to talk about this kid. First of all, Herrera for the Cardinals hitting all these home
00:05runs. He hit three the other night. He hit one today to make that a good game at Fenway, but all
00:10of a sudden the Red Sox have runners on second and third in their home opener. But how about this kid
00:15hitting all these home runs? Ivan Herrera. Listen, I really haven't heard much about him. A little
00:20bit last year, he had like 230 at-bats last year. Five home runs and four already this season. I'm
00:28not a believer in this Cardinals team. I'll freely admit that. I think that this is going to be a
00:32unique year and maybe even a down year for the National League Central. But listen, you can make
00:37a case for the Cardinals to do this, especially if you got Ivan Herrera actually continuing doing
00:41this going forward. I just, I look at this team, they did nothing. And I'm shocked actually how
00:47well they started out the gate. And I'm also shocked at how bad the Reds have been out the
00:51gate. But listen, the Cardinals are no joke as of right now. I just wonder how long they're going
00:56to be able to maintain that. I don't think it's going to be that long. I don't think so either.
01:00So we were talking about the Reds had lost three straight games, won nothing. And then remember
01:05the Pirates opened up losing three of four walk-off style to the Marlins. And now they've
01:13gotten back on their feet and schemes won a game. They've won a couple games. I think they're going
01:19to be in trouble against this Yankee bat attack that they got going. This lineup scoring runs and
01:25hitting home runs, the Pirates don't hit. I have never seen in my life a more putrid, you know,
01:32batting order. Like I, cause I'm a Pirate fan and I watch, I watch them and they're just torturous
01:38to watch. They suck so bad. I mean, the only guy that even remotely hits is O'Neal Cruz. That's it.
01:46Dude, I don't know what else to say other than this is a franchise that is a proud franchise,
01:50a storied franchise and a franchise that hasn't meant anything to anyone in roughly three decades.
01:57Basically, well, the moment Barry Bonds walked out the door is the last day that team has been
02:02relevant. And that is frustrating to say, frustrating. This is a team that has the very
02:06best stadium, maybe in all of major league baseball, a diehard fan base,
02:10a city that's got the Steelers and all their tradition there. Yet we have an owner worth
02:15billions of dollars that won't spend a penny on anybody. This is a franchise
02:18that frankly had Jason Kendall was their highest paid player of all time until three years ago.
02:26This is a team that's brought up Tyler glass. Now making millions over there with the Dodgers,
02:30Garrett Cole, millions over there with the Yankees. It's not like they can't develop.
02:34They absolutely can. And they got a young core group of guys, but once they start to figure it
02:38out, they're not going to be able to pay them or afford them. I mean, they can, they just won't
02:42because your owner is so cheap. They're the most frustrating I've ever heard of in my life.
02:49I'm trying to decide who is the most frustrating franchise in baseball. I keep looking at the
02:54pirates and dude, you're the pirates, dude. Like why can't you figure it? That guy's worth
03:00billions. Pay somebody. No, he won't. And then schemes looks like he needs to shrink. Thank
03:06God. He's got that hot girlfriend. Cause he looks miserable playing for the pirates.
