00:00At exactly 12.01 in the morning today, the Commission on Elections started delivering boxes of automated counting machines out of their warehouse in Binan, Laguna to their regional hubs throughout the country.

00:13These are the ACMs that have gone through testing and are ready to be used for the 2025 midterm elections.

00:20We need to be able to do a first batch delivery of our vote counting machines.

00:25We need to be able to deliver at the exact time and schedule so that we won't be delayed because we know that the elections will be held in 48 days.

00:383,700 ACMs were initially deployed this morning to be delivered straight to their regional hubs in Kinapawan, Zamboanga, Iligan, and then Karaga.

00:47The first ones will be the remote hubs so that if there are any issues, they will be secured in our hubs.

00:54The preparations of the poll body are just in time for the final testing and sealing before the election day.

01:00After the delivery of the first batch, COMELEC will then distribute contingency machines to the repair hubs.

01:06For the first time, we have 110 repair hubs throughout the country.

01:11Before, our repair hub was only in Santa Rosa.

01:14Aside from the Philippines, COMELEC will also distribute ACMs to different countries that will be using postal voting instead of internet voting.

01:22There are 16 countries that will receive machines and ballots.

01:26According to the overseas voting, we will send it to our diplomatic pouches.

01:35We were supposed to send it to the diplomatic pouches one by one so that it will be secured.

01:39Meanwhile, yesterday, PDP-Laban questioned COMELEC's decision to implement internet voting for overseas Filipinos.

01:47But the poll body said they are ready to answer the petition.

01:50They are saying that there is no law.

01:51Our interpretation is that the Republic Act 10950, the amendment to our law regarding overseas voting,

02:02says that COMELEC can venture on other modes of voting.
