00:28just recently how highly polluted that it's becoming and nothing has been

00:38form of litter has been cleared there since it's been open and this should
00:43have been looked into before it was built and we have 2,000 lorries coming
00:49in a day which as you can imagine is a lot of potential rubbish being thrown
00:54out. There are bottles being discarded full of urine which I've seen in the
01:01hedgerows over the past 10 years as I cycle quite regularly that have been in
01:06the hedgerows for about 15 years and have never been collected and they still
01:11lie there now and I could take anybody there now and show them the areas. This
01:17is very very bad indeed for for human health public health and the issue needs
01:28to be dealt with very very swiftly and I'm expecting somebody from the
01:35authorities possibly the the local authorities the council or an MP to step
01:40in here and to make this a major issue not just here in Ashford but just
01:46generally in the United Kingdom. I travel quite regularly abroad I go to
01:52France, Holland, Belgium, Switzerland and the roads and motorways are absolutely
02:01litter free. They and as soon as you get off the boat if you're coming over on
02:07the boat on the ferry with your car or if you're coming through on Eurotunnel
02:12with your car as soon as you get off the Folkestone terminal and you get on
02:18to the motorway and the contributing roads you are confronted with absolute
02:23filth and it's right the way from the moment you step in at Dover or Folkestone
02:30it's everywhere.
