00:00The target of the Department of Agriculture is to make the NFA Rice Retailers accredited to speed up the export of imported rice.

00:14The Department of Agriculture is planning to make the NFA Rice Retailers accredited to speed up the release of rice stocks by the National Food Authority.

00:24They have their own position, they have their own people, they have their own network.

00:29Actually, the NDA has already seen that.

00:32It is being studied to revive that kind of system so that we can ensure that they are accredited.

00:40It is expected that the production of local rice will increase this year.

00:44More than 20 million metric tons of local rice production was recorded in the first quarter of this year.

00:51While 50% of the compliance level of P45 maximum suggests that the retail price of imported rice started on Monday.

00:58Aside from rice, there are new projects being done by the Department of Agriculture to continue to lower the price of pork.

01:06Now, the pilot testing of Food Terminal Incorporated and the leading pork producer, Sipi Food, for the discount on the head of pork.

01:15Sipi will deliver directly the pork at a discounted price to the slaughterhouse.

01:24Then, the travellers will bring their cattle to the slaughterhouse.

01:30They will get the pork. Initially, the target is 100 heads.

01:35The pilot testing will be conducted in the markets in Metro Manila, particularly in Malabon,

01:40where the head price will be only P290 from the Directiva of the DA to P300.

01:47P240 will be the discounted price for pork and P260 for pork belly.

01:53Aside from this, the DA is also planning to place a card that will serve as a tracker from the producer to the retailer of pork.

02:01The card is to know how many pigs, who is the producer and how much to get.

02:08This is also a way to know where the compliance problems in pork MSRP occurred.

02:13For now, the compliance level of pork is 88% in the farm gate price of P230, while the compliance in MSRP is 39%.

02:23The DA will be strict with those who are against the price of pork.

02:28For the time being, it is not yet possible to have a Kintakom hearing.

02:33Secondly, it is also possible that the shipping permit, if proven to have violations in any legal process, the shipping permit can be reimbursed.

02:52Meanwhile, according to the DA, the price of imported garlic is starting to drop to P120 from the previous P160 per kilo.

03:01DA Secretary Francisco Tiulangrel Jr. first said that as much as possible, he does not want to place MSRP on garlic if it can lower its price.

03:11The DA will also strengthen the research and development for increasing the local garlic production.

03:17Another target project of the government is to correct the weighting and categorization of eggs.

03:22This is to avoid buying egg sizes that do not meet its label.
