00:20Firstly, for families, Newcastle Racecourse are hosting a Good Friday Family Fun Day,
00:25with of course horse races as well as family friendly activities including face painting, funfair rides and a petting zoo.
00:31If you're looking for something more laid back and to occupy the kids during the holidays,
00:35the Life Centre will have an array of activities taking place during the holidays.
00:40For example, designing your own egg catapult using household materials or egg rolling challenges.
00:46They have a play zone for under 7 year olds and their usual exhibits will be open such as Space Zone and their Planetarium shows.
00:54There's also going to be daily Easter egg hunts at Time Out Park running from the 12th until the 20th of April.
01:00There'll be photo opportunities with beloved characters which will include the Easter Bunny and every child taken part will receive a prize.
01:08If you're hoping for something more traditional this Easter, Newcastle Cathedral has organised a series of special services.
01:15On Good Friday, they have a family friendly event that will feature stories, songs and crafts to explore the Easter story.
01:22This particular service will run from 10am until 11.15am and is recommended for children aged 4-11.
01:29Ouseburn Farm is always a great hit for Easter, where you can escape the city's hustle and bustle and meet a variety of animals including lambs.
01:37For the adults, Ouseburn Garden Party will also be taking place over Easter weekend.
01:42This vibrant open air venue is hosting a three day celebration that features a curated line-up of DJs offering a diverse range of house music styles.
01:50Newcastle Loved Acropolis street food will be there and live sports will be played including the Newcastle United vs Aston Villa game on the Saturday.

02:05Yeah, I'm probably just munching my Easter eggs to be honest, even though I'm supposed to be on a diet, but it's alright.

02:45But usually it falls on my birthday, so usually that is the tradition.
02:49Or we'll have a Sunday dinner on Easter Sunday.

02:54Well actually we buy each other a chocolate egg when we do a Tesco shop, but that's the only way we celebrate Easter.
