00:07government of Nicaragua asked for clarification on an apparent alert issue by
00:11Interpol. The Nicaraguan government announced that it was suspending the
00:14trip schedule for this Monday because there appeared to be a trap against the
00:17former president of Panama. Martinelli, a 73-year-old business executive with
00:21economic interests in various sectors, took refuge in the Nicaraguan embassy on
00:25February 7th 2024 after his 10-year prison sentence and a million dollar
00:30fine were confirmed for the new business case related to the purchase of media
00:34outlets with public funds.
