00:00OK, so what happens next with regards to Panama?
00:02And then I'll ask you a couple of questions
00:03about some of the other territories
00:04that we're interested in as well.
00:05But I mean, with regards to Panama,
00:07the president of the country who we've agreed
00:09is very pro-American, President José Raúl Molina,
00:14says the canal will remain in Panamanian hands.
00:18So what happens next?
00:19Do you envisage negotiations, some sort of talks?
00:22Well, I mean, let's draw a lesson
00:25from the first Trump term.
00:27We remember in 2016, he said, we'll build a great wall
00:32and Mexico would pay for it.
00:34And in the first phone call that he had
00:36with the Mexican president, the Mexican president said,
00:39I can't do that.
00:42And the issue went away.
00:44No doubt, whenever Donald Trump speaks
00:47with the president of Panama, he'll bring it up.
00:50The Panamanian side will say, hey, it's not yours
00:55to determine, it's ours.
00:56And the issue will evaporate.
