00:00The Department of Agriculture will maintain the maximum suggested retail price or MSRP of imported rice for 45 pesos per kilo for two months.
00:10This is after the D.A. and D.T.I. announced a reduction of 40 to 45 pesos per kilo of rice price in the market.
00:18The Agriculture Secretary Francisco T. Laurel, Jr. needs to maintain MSRP to protect the interests of local farmers during this time.
00:30According to the D.A., from 58 pesos last January, MSRP of rice was gradually lowered to 45 pesos per kilo within three months.
00:41Aside from this, the D.A. will follow up the programs to lower the price in the market and ensure that there is enough and no food waste in the supply.

00:53MSRP support will be established and 99 cold storage facilities will be built for vegetables, fruits, and high-value goods.
