00:00Well, this was an unprecedented international summit on going after the criminal gangs that
00:06are undermining our border security, that are putting lives at risk.
00:10And we have countries from Vietnam, Iraq, Nigeria, as well as our nearest neighbors
00:16across Europe, France, Germany, and countries like the U.S. and China all facing real challenges
00:23from criminal gangs that try to exploit our borders in order to make huge profits.
00:29But agreeing today new law enforcement, cooperation, intelligence sharing to go after these vile
00:35criminal gangs and to tackle this terrible trade in human beings.
00:39Well, we're substantially increasing returns and enforcement because, frankly, the rules
00:44need to be respected and enforced.
00:47They haven't been for far too long.
00:49And we're doing this alongside this much stronger action against organized immigration crime.
00:55These gangs have been able to take root over the last eight years without proper challenge
01:01in the operations they've been running through the channel, but also right across Europe
01:06and beyond.
01:07The unprecedented nature of today's summit.
01:10We've never done this before across the world, bringing together countries where people are
01:16traveling from, countries people are traveling through, and then destination countries from
01:21right across the world agreeing new action on law enforcement, on social media advertising,
01:27and new action to pursue and disrupt these dangerous gangs.
