00:00Let's open this edition with the development of the national team, Peter Kamowski, who is already preparing to face the tough challenges of Vietnam in the Asian Cup, which will be held in about three months.
00:20It is through two actions of international friendship that Australia's controllers have also shared about the choice of the venue, whether it is the National Stadium of Bukit Jalil or the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium for the match.
00:31Preview of the match between Malaysia against Vietnam, exclusive Klamovski with Zulhelmy Zainal Azam.
00:50Preview of the match between Malaysia against Vietnam, exclusive Klamovski with Zulhelmy Zainal Azam.
01:03Vietnam is betting on a 5-0 win over Laos in the first match of the Asian Cup and they will be the opponent of the national squad in the next match at the National Stadium of Bukit Jalil.
01:15Coach, your take on Vietnam as our opponent in the next match?
01:21We respect Vietnam and in fact we respect any opponent that's in front of us, but it's an exciting opportunity to take on a good team and we'll get our preparations right to be at our best and go full on for that.
01:35Mention about the preparation, so what is your plan during April and May towards the match against Vietnam?
01:46We're in a little situation where the season ends at the end of April and then all of May there's no real competitive games for the league or the players, so there's a little bit of an off-season.
01:58Then we need to get our preparation right to come in and a little bit of an extended camp to focus on Vietnam, which will be a tough opponent.
02:09We'll get the preparation right and we'll be ready for that game.
02:12Coach, I believe we need a friendly match, so what kind of opponent are you looking for for a friendly match, maybe one or two friendly?
02:22We try and get two friendly games in this window. I know there were a few question marks around the camp previously around no friendly game, but in such a short window it was good for our training time to connect to key principles of our game.
02:39This camp will be moving forward against Vietnam. It will be an important one to get some friendly games in because the players wouldn't have played games in the lead-up.
02:49We need two games and that will prepare us well for the Vietnam match, which will be a difficult one.
02:56I know that we'll play here in Bukit Jalil Stadium, but you as a coach, how do you see the situation when if we play in Stadium Sultan Ibrahim, we have a good quality in terms of feel, but here we have a better crowd. Your comment on that, coach?
03:14Yeah, I think Malaysia needs both. It needs a big crowd and a good surface to play on. The players deserve that. That will get the best out of the players.
03:25But we're excited to come into the national stadium. I hope all the Malaysian supporters can come and support the players, the ultras to sing loud for us and give power to the players in the performance against Vietnam.
03:39Coach, maybe since you already mentioned about Vietnam, they have naturalised players. In terms of performance, in terms of quality, is there any difference with Vietnam recently?
03:54We'll do our analysis of them in the next weeks to get the preparation right, but I'm prepared for a very, very tough challenge. A challenge that we need to improve on what we've done against Nepal.
04:09Vietnam, we have to respect, they've won the Asian tournament in December. They're undefeated for the last 11 games. So we have motivation to change their fortunes. But again, what's important for us, it doesn't matter what they do, it's how we prepare, how we can get better, how we can be at our best and I know we can beat them.
04:39We'll see you in the next episode of Harimau Malaya against Vietnam, which will be one of the key players in the 2027 Asian Cup.
04:49In the last episode, we'll do an exclusive interview with our coach, Peter Lamoski, who will put the Malaysian abroad.
