00:00Hi, Assalamualaikum. Welcome to Nadi Arena, Nadi Sukarno-Malaysia.
00:05Happy Eid Mubarak.
00:06There are only a few days left for us to celebrate Eid,
00:09but we are still giving you the latest updates on Sukarno-Malaysia.
00:13That's right. And we want to start with the first report.
00:16On March 25, 2025, it will be remembered as the beginning of the Haryamalaya Revolution.
00:22The right-wingers won 2-0 over Nepal.
00:24Peter Kamowski's debut received a lot of praise
00:27after the Malaysian opposition against Nepal.
00:29Let's watch Kamowski's exclusive interview with Zulmy Zana Azam.
00:33Kamowski's debut with 3 points.
01:00Hector Havel's debut with 3 points.
01:03That was one of the highlights of the Malaysian opposition against Nepal at Sultan Ibrahim Stadium.
01:09Again, Coach, congratulations.
01:12But still, we want to know and understand more about the Malaysian team under you.
01:17First, how did you find your 23-man squad for that match?
01:23And why Gabriel Palmeiro is not in the list for that match?
01:29First of all, thanks for having me.
01:32It's important to recognize that was our first camp.
01:37Happy with the camp.
01:39All the players gave maximum effort in the way they applied themselves physically every day,
01:47the way they applied themselves mentally every day with their focus, their concentration,
01:52which allowed us to improve every day.
01:56So I'm pleased with all the players' efforts.
01:59I've got to say a massive thank you to His Royal Highness TMJ
02:04for allowing us to train in world-class facilities at JDT and the stadium.
02:09The hotel was excellent.
02:11And I think the country should acknowledge that and say a big thank you to TMJ.
02:15And yeah, we've got off to a good start, but we know we've got more to do.
02:21With Gabriel, a good young player, a Malaysian abroad, doing Malaysians proud in another country,
02:28I feel like it's a good experience for him to travel all the way from Spain to Malaysia.
02:34He certainly enjoyed the camp.
02:37And he's one for the future.
02:39I think the couple of days training he got he enjoyed.
02:43But just because you're a Malaysian abroad doesn't mean you're going to come in and be in a starting 11 or be in the squad.
02:49You have to earn it.
02:50And he did well.
02:51And he'll be better for it for the next camp as well.
02:53Okay, all right.
02:54During the match, on match day, the interesting part, Coach, you sang the national anthem.
03:01So people want to know how you do that, Coach.
03:05Firstly, I'm proud to be the head coach of Party Malaya.
03:09And by doing that, I want to show respect to the country.
03:14And in that sense, I want to try and think about the country being one nation for the football.
03:20And to drive the football forward together.
03:22But ultimately, it's just showing respect for the country.
03:25Coach, based on my homework before the match, your formation is 4-3-3.
03:31But match against Nepal, we can see that 3-4-3.
03:36Maybe you can explain more on that, Coach.
03:39Yeah, I love 4-3-3 for sure.
03:41But it's not about what's good for me.
03:43It's what's best for the players.
03:45And the profile of the players is important to get that right.
03:50So, yeah, I just felt like that suited us for this camp with the short preparation time that we had.
03:57And we worked on it well and performed in a good way.
04:02Okay, and the interesting part that Leon Cruz played as a right back.
04:07So, yeah, how did you find the decision to put Leon as a right back?
04:12Again, it was a decision based on what I thought was going to be a strong connection for us in attack and defensively as well.
04:20And Leon played a really strong game, a strong performance from a leader of the team.
04:24So, I was pleased with his performance.
04:26Overall, the Malaysian fans praised on the first performance for the Malaysian team.
04:32So, your comment on that, Coach?
04:34Well, that's good. I mean, I'm proud of the players for their performance.
04:38It was a good performance.
04:41I like the way we played.
04:43Good images for us in attack, creating some good spaces and some really good chances.
04:48We could have scored a few more goals.
04:51And we know we've got more to improve and that's the important part.
04:54You know, stay humble, keep working hard, focus on getting better and keep building the team the way we need to.
05:01Okay.
05:02A perfect start for the nation's squad in the Asian Champions League campaign.
05:07But there's more to come in the next episode of Bertemu Vietnam.
05:12In the second episode, we'll have an exclusive interview with Peter Kramowski
05:16about the pre-match against Bertemu Vietnam on June 18.
05:20Zulhami Zana Azam, Nadi Arena.
