While Tasmania only has five of the 150 seats in parliament, the state could prove critical to the final election results. It will come down to which party has the policies and candidates that voters feel matched their priorities.

00:51Their budget is nothing more than a plan for the next five weeks, not for the next five years.
00:57In contrast, a coalition-led government would get Australia back on track.
01:02Put us into balance of power, we will keep Peter Dutton out and we will make Labor into a more progressive, fairer government.
01:10The most marginal seat in the state is Lyons where the two main candidates are a former state Labor leader and the chief executive of an economic development group.
01:20I understand what our community needs and they need a strong voice who's got experience to represent them in Canberra and I can deliver on that.
01:27People are looking for something a little bit different, someone with real life experience that's actually had a career outside of politics
01:34and actually knows what it's like to struggle and to not come from what I call a silver spoon environment.
