This video was captured on the bodycam of a Frankfort Indiana Police officer who was responding to the scene of a fire. The shaky video shows the officers arriving at the location where a family of six, including a baby, were trapped on the second floor of the house by the flames below. 00:36Shortly after, the rest were aided out the window and were able to descend the ladder and get out of harm's way.
00:41The Frankfort Police Department said in a statement that all family members exited the burning building safely,
00:47and the officers involved are now set to be awarded medals for their heroism,
00:50with Police Captain Evan Hall saying about his recommendation to award all officers involved the Medal of Valor,
00:56They all showed an extraordinary act of bravery by removing a total of six occupants out to safety under extreme stress and life-threatening conditions.
