00:30Like, they were deemed a Stanley Cup favorite, if you will,

00:35But it's been negative story after negative story,
00:37dating back to Jacob Trubaugh,
00:39the names filtering in terms of the media,
00:42potentially being on the trade market.
00:43They trade Kakko, Shosterkin,
00:46and sort of the noise around him being in a contract here.
00:49He gets the big fat contract, and he's been really, really good.
00:51But they've lost their identity,
00:53and it's pretty much what's happened to this Rangers team.
00:55But it's so easy to forget.
00:56They were in the Final Four last year,
00:58right there with the Florida Panthers in the Eastern Conference Final.
01:01So they're running out of racetrack here.
01:03I mean, simply put,
01:04and I just don't like the way this team has played down the stretch,
01:07where it leads me to believe that maybe this is not the year for the Rangers,
01:10and they end up missing the playoffs, and jobs are lost here.
01:14So, how about the Blues, the way they're playing?
01:17What if they won, like, six straight games,
01:20and then I watched the Wild.
01:21I bet on the Wild last night.
01:23I went for it in Dallas, and they got shut out.
01:25Those are your top two Wild Cards,
01:27Mini and the Blues,
01:29and the Blues are just killing it right now.
01:32Well, firstly, with Minnesota,
01:35I think they've had a really good year, considering everything.
01:38Kirill Kaprizov was probably the heart favorite,
01:41midway through this season,
01:42and just hasn't been back.
01:44And I really haven't heard much on that front.
01:46I know they've fallen into a Wild Card spot.
01:48If they don't get Kaprizov off, or back, I should say, Brodine, too,
01:52I think it's going to be Curtains and Marc-Andre Fleury's final season.
01:55But I think you look specifically at St. Louis,
01:58and maybe you try to look and target some teams
02:00who could be worthy of a surprise in round one.
02:03I think it would be tough,
02:05but you never know St. Louis and Winnipeg.
02:07They're really dialed in right now,
02:09and it's ultimately so intriguing,
02:11because they were close to maybe trading their captain,
02:13Braden Shen, at the trade deadline,
02:15and they didn't.
02:16They held on to him.
02:17They put some faith in their team,
02:18and Binnington's really carried that momentum from the Four Nations.
02:21He's been excellent,
02:22and I wouldn't want to play any team that's playing playoff hockey.
02:25We just talked about Ottawa, Montreal,
02:27and I would certainly include the St. Louis Blues in that conversation,
02:30heating up at the right time of year.
