00:14To the next generation of dreamers,
00:16if we can do this, just imagine what you can do.
00:21It's time to go back to the moon, this time to stay.
00:24We don't want to be one of those single planet species.
00:26We want to be a multi-planet species.
00:30We want to be a multi-planet species.

00:51Day 2
00:57To all you kids down there,
00:59I was once a child with a dream,
01:01looking up to the stars. Now I'm an adult in a spaceship with lots of other
01:08wonderful adults looking down to our beautiful, beautiful Earth. To the next
01:13generation of dreamers, if we can do this, just imagine what you can do.
01:31This is the kind of thing, it's so ambitious, it needs to be done with
01:34partners. This is the only way to get back to the moon fast and this time
01:39we're going back to the moon and we're not going back to the moon to visit,
01:41we're going back to the moon to stay.
01:50There are so many resources there that we can continue to do interesting things
01:55and continue to use large amounts of energy and so on, just we probably can't
01:59do that on this planet. So my long-term prediction, and this is going to take
02:02hundreds of years so don't worry prematurely, Earth will end up being
02:06zoned residential and light industry and all the heavy industry will be done in
02:11space. My sort of personal ideology is kind of split right now between
02:30trying to be helpful on Earth-related stuff, which is sustainable energy, and
02:35then trying to advance space technology so we can establish a
02:39self-sustaining city on Mars. But I do think it's important to be a multi-planet,
02:42not just one planet but another planet.
