00:00Thank you to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, to Variety.
00:04I'm overwhelmed, and there's not going to be playoff music,
00:08so I think I have three minutes, but I don't really care how long I have.
00:13It's one of those surreal moments.
00:16My team, Team TY, who are all here, who I love,
00:19we all talk about being where your feet are,
00:21and I'm trying to be where my feet are, but it's very surreal to be here.
00:25Such an honor.
00:26And the thing that makes it so special are the people who are here.
00:30I see a lot of faces in the crowd who have been coming to see me live since 1991.
00:36And I love you, and you know that,
00:39because this is all I ever wanted to do was to sing.
00:42And, Carly, your words were so kind.
00:45I want to tell you that when I met you for the first time,
00:48it was at a CMT awards show, and I just immediately knew you were genuine,
00:53and I just knew I wanted to be your friend.
00:55So it's been my honor to get to know you a little bit.
00:58And the person that taught me how to do that was the person,
01:03the first artist that was so kind to me at an awards show,
01:05and that was Reba McEntire, who just exemplifies friendship and class.
01:12She sent me flowers at my first awards show
01:14when nobody even knew I was in the dressing room,
01:16and I thought they were from my mom and dad.
01:18And then I saw they were from Reba, and I'm like, oh, okay.
01:21And I'm so blessed that you and I have become more than just colleagues
01:28that get to see each other, but friends that get to hang out,
01:30because you're right.
01:32There's a misconception that female artists in particular
01:36are always climbing at each other and trying to get at each other,
01:40but the truth is we're all cheering for each other and with each other,
01:44and this is an example of that.
01:47These girls from every generation of country music,
01:49we're all for each other.
01:51Speaking of cheerleaders, I want to acknowledge my team, Team TY, who is here.
01:57We are a team.
01:58I love you so much.
02:03My family, my sister Beth, who is the crier, more than my husband actually,
02:07cries more than my husband, and her husband John,
02:11who are here representing our parents, who I know are here in this moment
02:16and just loving every second, especially my mom.
02:18She's loving a star on the Hollywood Boulevard.
02:23I have a lot of Garths in my life.
02:25My producer, long-time producer Garth Fundas, is the man who brought me
02:30She's in Love with a Boy.
02:31He brought me The Song Remembers When.
02:32He brought me Walk Away Joe.
02:34He's not here today, but I want to acknowledge and thank him
02:37for helping me make my dreams come true.
02:46The first Garth that I met is here, and the one that has really been a cheerleader
02:53and who, as many accolades and awards as he has won,
02:57I've never seen him get more excited than he does when I receive something.
03:02And for all the people that want this for me, nobody wants it more than you,
03:08and I just appreciate you for being my support.
03:13We're down a few stars from each other, but we're going to figure out something.
03:19We'll put some breadcrumbs or something.
03:22That's really it.
03:25I mean, to be in Capitol, I made a record here, actually, a few years ago.
03:28I did an album called Let's Be Frank, and I got to sing in this very room.
03:32And so I'm overwhelmed, honestly, and I'm sure later I'll think of some things
03:38I should have said, but I just want to thank you all for taking out your time
03:41on this gorgeous day to be here for this star.
03:44And I'm ready to unveil this thing, so I'm just going to say thank you.
