00:00Pre-May of last year, 24-25% of patients actually went direct to a bed and not the Galvan, and from our perspective, from a patient experience perspective, that was not what we had wished for for our patients.
00:13But in May of last year, we reset our systems. And since that, 79% of patients are going direct to a bed as a result of the temporary change that's been in place.
00:23With regard to the double ED weight, I think you said in around May it was around 24-28%.
00:27Yes, 25%.
00:28So you're 79%?
00:2979%, yes.
00:31Will it become 100%?
00:33Well, that's a good question. It's a good question because...
00:36I like to ask good questions.
00:38Because what we're dealing with is clinical priority of patients. So patients in Alton and Galvan may well have a more significant clinical priority. They will require access to the bed in front of somebody in South West Oak Hill Hospital.
00:51That is a clinical decision which is made by the consultant or the senior doctor on the day. But as I say, we've made huge strides from that and continue to have oversight of it on a daily basis.
01:02When you break it down into the numbers, we're talking about 2.5 patients per day as a result of the change. And across the week, we're talking about 3.5 patients who don't actually go straight to a bed.
01:14But we will continue to focus on that and we will continue to work on that as we move forward.
