00:00Hello, my name is Theresa Molloy. I'm the Director of Planning, Performance and
00:05Corporate Services in the Western Trust and I'm the SRO for the Encompass
00:09project. On the 8th of May the Western Trust will implement a new digital
00:15system called Encompass and the introduction of that system will create
00:19a new digital health and social care record for every citizen. Paper records
00:26have been replaced with electronic records in all of our hospitals and care
00:30settings, meaning that our staff will have instant access to the public's
00:35records at the touch of a button. There are things that you, if you visit any of
00:41our care settings or our hospitals, will notice. We will have more staff on site
00:46than usual because as we move into the new Encompass system we will have staff
00:51on our sites doing training and after go live we will have other people from
00:55Trusts who are experienced in using Encompass here working alongside us to
01:00help us in the implementation. We'll have more electronic devices in use because
01:06once we go live with Encompass there will no longer be paper records that our
01:10staff will use for your care. They will all be using workstations on wheels,
01:16laptops or hand use devices. Unfortunately over this changing time
01:23there may be delays or longer waiting times for some of our services. All of
01:29our services will keep going as normally as possible but we are likely to
01:33experience some disruption and some delays as staff get used to using this
01:38system. So we'd ask for your patience and we thank you for your patience and
01:43understanding as we introduce our new digital system.
