00:00The political war has now started to escalate.
00:0218 BJP MLAs have been suspended for the next 6 months from the Assembly for creating big
00:08ruckus on the floor of the House and heckling the Speaker.
00:11The BJP MLAs were protesting for allegedly increasing the honey trap cases against
00:16politicians in Karnataka and they are now demanding a CBI probe in this matter.
00:20The Saffron party has caught all guns blazing against the Siddharamaiah government
00:25and accusing them of covering up the honey trap scandal.
00:28They even pointed out that it is the Chief Minister's responsibility to make sure that
00:32proper investigation is done in the matter.
00:34The BJP also attacked Siddharamaiah government over the minority quota bill
00:38and accused them of insulting democracy.
00:40The Saffron party has promised that they will make sure that they continue to oppose the bill
00:45and they are all set to stage a mega protest,
00:48not just in the Parliament but also make sure that they are out on the streets.
00:52Deputy Chief Minister Nikesh F. Kumar has said that the Chief Minister in fact is now
00:57waiting for an official complaint to be filed to start the investigations.
01:01Deputy CM said BJP is an uncultured party and claimed that they do not know how to behave.
01:27Nothing has been done. He is playing both ways and when this was asked and put an end to this
01:32to bring purity in public life, our MLAs have been thrown out.
01:37This is totally undemocratic and they have to pay for this.
01:57The government should hand this over to the CBI or they should conduct an inquiry in the High Court.
02:07What is going on in Karnataka is beyond my understanding.
02:11I condemn this and to suspend all the MLAs for 4% of the Muslim reservation.
02:20Sir, they were thrown out of the proceedings.
02:23We wanted to show them that we are so talented for Muslims.
02:28Congress is against the constitution.
02:32Today, two incidents have taken place in the Karnataka Assembly.
02:37One is that 18 of our BJP MLAs have the right to protest under the constitution.
02:45We can protest inside the Parliament and outside.
02:51For the first time in the country, we are hearing that 18 MLAs have been thrown out for 6 months.
03:01The Congress government in Karnataka is trying to create this friction between religions
03:07by providing the religious reservation. I am not against any religion.
03:11But on what provision? We all work on certain principles.
03:17This is not a dictatorship. This is a democracy.
03:21In democracy, we have to be bound by what constitution is there for us.
03:29I can't have my own law.
03:31So this is exactly what Congress is trying to do, the appeasement politics.
03:37It's a blot on democracy.
03:39They went up to the podium of the Speaker and insulted the Speaker.
03:45They threw papers. This is totally anti-democratic.
03:51They acted like hooligans in the Assembly.
03:55It's totally condemnable. There's a reason why the House has suspended them.
04:01Misbehaving, unruly behavior in the Assembly in front of the Chief Minister.
04:09Apart from that, the supreme person in the Assembly is the Speaker.
04:17So insulting the Speaker and insulting the Chief Minister
04:25is not appreciated by any democratic principled person.
04:31That is condemnable.
04:33And at the same time, the ending of the Assembly session is also a black mark in the history of the Karnataka legislature.
