00:25I come from New York and I've come here today because individuals cry in my arms each and

00:40every day in my beloved Brooklyn.

00:43Immigrants who are concerned about their family being separated.

00:48Individuals who are concerned about whether or not their spouses are going to come home,

00:51whether or not they're going to be deported in the absence of due process.

00:57Individuals who have lost jobs, who don't know whether or not they're going to be able

01:01to pay their mortgage or their rent.

01:05Veterans who have served our country mightily.

01:08Law enforcement officers who grants have been cut because all of us engage in drug interdiction.

01:17We all know about opioids.

01:20We know about fentanyl, and then there's a new drug out there called xylosine.

01:25I see it each and every day.

01:27I see seniors, because I love my seniors, who are concerned about the privatization

01:33of social security.

01:39And people concerned about Medicaid, who rely upon Medicaid each and every day.

01:47And so just like one of my sheroes, Barbara Jordan, I have my faith in the Constitution

01:53as whole.

01:55It's complete.

01:57And I'm not going to sit idly by and allow this government to diminish our Constitution,

02:05to diminish our freedoms, our liberty.

02:09Not now, not ever.

02:10I've got a lot of fight in me.

02:20I come from a humble family, and I'm not afraid.

02:24Individuals have come up to me in New York and all across, and they've said, Tish, aren't

02:28you afraid?

02:29And the answer is, I'm more concerned about individuals who are losing all of their benefits.

02:34I'm going to be all right, because I've got righteousness on my side.

02:38I've got Americans on my side.

02:40I've got individuals who believe in freedom, who believe in liberty, who believe in the

02:46rule of law, who believe in our Constitution, that are prepared to stand up and fight back.

02:54And now, what Democrats need to do is have some steel in their backbone and stand up

03:02and fight back.

03:04We're all in this together, united as one.

03:08Let us all stand up, fight back, and protect this democracy now and for always.
