00:00The Department of Labor and Employment in Northern Mindanao launched a free training

00:04to ensure that the businessmen follow the labor code.

00:08Shariff Timhar of Radyo Pilipinas, Iligan, has the details of the country's latest news.

00:15With the help of the free training of the Department of Labor and Employment

00:19and the Iligan Chamber of Commerce,

00:21the small businessmen in Iligan City and Lanao de Norte will surely be able to adapt

00:26to the right salary and the safety of their workers.

00:29Through this partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment,

00:32we reaffirm our dedication to helping establishments meet safety standards,

00:38comply with regulations, and most importantly, protect the lives of workers.

00:43As of now, the DOLE plan, which is only one in the free training,

00:46includes 1,800 businesses in Lungsod and Nalawigan.

00:50This is to reach the target of the government

00:53of more than 5,000 micro-establishments in the Northern Mindanao region

00:56to continue to protect the workers.

00:59In Region 10, we were given a target of 5,000 plus.

01:04But here in Lanao de Norte Provincial Field Office,

01:07we were given a target of 1,800.

01:10At present, we are more or less at 500 plus.

01:14In line with the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.,

01:19the DOLE will continue to strive to strengthen the small business in the Philippines

01:23to help the Filipinos improve.
