00:00How does it feel to be a member of the Opry?

00:02It's just, I'm still pinching myself, you know, I love this place.

00:06I love the history of this place.

00:07All of my heroes have been here, been a part of this family.

00:10So, just thrilled and to be a part of this night.

00:14I haven't gotten over yet.

00:16I'm excited.

00:16Yeah, so it's been one year, technically, for you?

00:20I mean, that's, that's insane.

00:22Like, I'm trying to put myself in your shoes.

00:24Can you just, can you just tell me your favorite moment of your career

00:28and what got you to this point?

00:30Yeah, I mean, there's been a lot of, a lot of highlights.

00:32And, but I do think becoming a member is top of my list.

00:36But, I mean, getting the invite from Garth Brooks and then for Randy Travis,

00:39Josh Turner to be the guys, my, two of my heroes to induct me.

00:43I couldn't have dreamt it up any better and I'm just very thankful.

00:49Yeah, so tell us, I know that you're, you have a baby boy.

00:53Is your wife here?

00:55No, he had school today.

00:56So, we live in North Carolina.

00:58So, he had school today and they drove down to the beach afterwards.

01:02So, I'm gonna go, they're gonna watch the show and then I'll meet up with them tomorrow.

01:06Supportive family.

01:07Yeah.

01:08So, how do you guys do it when you're traveling like this?

01:10Like, what's a piece of advice for maybe young artists that are married

01:13or just married people in general?

01:15Yeah, you know, I think everybody in the world is always looking for the work-life balance.

01:18So, that's us too.

01:19We're still trying to figure out exactly how much do they come on the road,

01:22how much do we keep Avery at home and in school with his buddies.

01:25So, we're still figuring that out.

01:27I think everybody's got a different formula.

01:29Everybody has something different that works for them.

01:31But for us, it's like one or two weekends a month,

01:33they'll come out with me and other than that, we stay home.

01:37And does that mean a lot to you when they come on the road?

01:39I love it when they're on the road.

01:40Yeah, it feels like home and, you know, I love the road.

01:44I love going to do shows, seeing the fans,

01:46but it does take me away from them so that when they're with me, it makes everything better.
