00:02I caught up with the winning jock, Edwin Maldonado,
00:05fresh off of Happy Jack's victory
00:08in the grade two triple bend.

00:17Talk about Happy Jack.
00:18I have a very happy Edwin Maldonado here now, Edwin.
00:22We've all watched the chosen Ron trounce his competition.
00:25This guy was second to him last time out.
00:27But with Frankie aboard,
00:28you've been on him in the morning.
00:30Were you expecting that kind of a performance?
00:32What did Doug tell you?
00:34No, Doug said, you know, when Frankie rode him,
00:36he thought he was going to be a little far back.
00:39And he jumped, he was a little closer.
00:41And Frankie loved him there.
00:43And that's what Doug said today.
00:44You know, if he breaks a little closer,
00:46you know, take what they give you.
00:49Did you have horse the whole way?
00:50Because he looked like a happy camper crossing the wire.
00:53Yes, he's been working great.
00:54I had a lot of horse.
00:56When we passed the three-eight pole,
00:57I smooshed him a little bit to see how much I had.
00:59And he kind of took off.
01:00So I was like, okay, I guess I have a ton left.
01:03And when he turned for home and I asked him,
01:05he responded very well.

01:10Happy Jack, off to bigger and better things.
