00:00Hey, what'd you see last night?
00:02No, and is there is there anything to see here?
00:04Uh, do you want to know what happened to me watching the game? What happened to you two words? What Tracy Morgan?
00:11Oh, I just see Morgan watching that game for real. No, okay figuratively. Yes. I mean that thing was gross
00:18Yeah, it was gross. This is a frustrating game
00:21It was really frustrating and and I I'll have to go through and look at the math on how many times
00:27The Warriors have faced a team that turned it over 20 times and I thought it was 22
00:31But it might just be 20, but you had an opponent give it to you 20 times and you still I mean
00:39You were in the game, I guess but that game never felt like the Warriors were
00:44like about to
00:46threatening to
00:48We're gonna flip this and we're gonna cut it to three when they cut it to three. You're like, okay
00:53They might grind this thing out and win it just cuz they should
00:57But then and then Aaron Gordon had the answer yet again
01:00Yeah
01:01I will say this for whatever it's worth whenever since Jimmy Butler came to the Warriors whenever they lose it is
01:09because
01:10someone on the other side
01:13Has a generational night and and I take that as a good thing
01:17I know some people will be like why you keep letting the other player to go off. Well, it doesn't happen most nights
01:22Sometimes NBA players have got their a game and I look at that as a good thing if it takes an individual having
01:30An absolute night to remember in order to beat you that's gonna happen sometimes and yes
01:36Quentin Grimes Kyrie Irving and Aaron Gordon. Those are the three players who have beaten the Warriors since the trade deadline
01:43They all had unbelievable nights Aaron Gordon had all the answers last night and he had the answer again when they when they Warriors cut
01:50It to three you had the answer. He was the best player on the floor. You know what? I mean salute
01:57There you go, yeah salute
01:59Salute, but at the same time, so yeah, you played awful
02:02But I mean beyond how badly you played I look at Aaron Gordon who is their third or fourth best player
02:09They didn't have their two best players
02:11And so he stepped forward and you had no answer you had everybody except pods and you had no ability to stop him
02:18and so when they get yoke itch and they get Murray and they still have Gordon who you don't have an answer for and
02:24Michael Porter jr. Who you couldn't stop. It just makes me really
02:29really concerned about a Denver matchup because of those four players, I don't know who guards whom and
02:35How you stop any of those guys?
02:37Well, okay fair points, but I'm gonna put that in the whole category of 80% of what you worry about in life never happens
02:44There yeah, like I'm not getting you nine straight times sure
02:47but I'm not gonna break down a Denver Warriors playoff series that I have no idea if that's gonna happen because these teams are gonna
02:53Move shake and shimmy and and shake all over the place even get in the exactly
02:58Exactly, which is why that's sort of where my head is today. You know what? I mean?
03:03Like I that's that's why this was so frustrating. I would actually
03:09Just make this a burn the tape game and and not pay it any mind
03:15it's a turn-the-page game if
03:17We didn't have all of the other scenarios that were going on if Minnesota had not lost their own
03:24Game at home with the other team sitting all of their good players
03:28They did it too and they did it an hour and a half earlier, which to me
03:33Man you'd love for that to make its way into the souls of the warrior players like dogs go get that game
03:40That was huge
03:42that was huge and
03:45You couldn't take care of the ball and that's that's incredibly disappointing
03:50But I don't really I don't I don't find last night to be a projection game
03:56I don't find that to be a game where I go. Well now
03:59I'm not you know, the Warriors showed their true colors or I'm worried about them in this that of the other playoff series
04:05I just look at it as a wild miss opportunity and
04:09incredibly disappointing that that you the professionals that you are played a very
04:16Unprofessional game at the wrong time Steve Kerr calls it bad body language
04:21You have Hall of Fame players throwing the ball off each other's knees
04:24When they're two feet away from one another
04:27Hucking the ball down court to people who aren't even open not for a little bit
04:31I mean if that were Brock Purdy last night, we'd be crushing him today with how many interceptions this team through
04:36So that's all that's all I I thought last night was incredibly disappointing
04:41Because the opportunity that was staring them in the face and that for some reason it didn't get there
04:47It didn't get their attention. It didn't get their focus where it needed to be
04:51I'm not sure if it was completely the focus, but Denver definitely had more effort
04:56They had more energy and you know now Steph Curry is gonna sit out tonight against Milwaukee
05:01whether it's the back or the knee tendinitis or
05:04Fatigue or exhaustion whatever it is. I don't know if they've listed an official
05:09The NBA injury report just lists it as rest
05:13Okay, so right so and and and Slater tweeted about the back. Nobody has brought up the knee
05:18But yeah, we don't know the body. I can't feel whatever he feels
05:22We don't and I'm looking at a piece from ESPN back in December where it was
05:27You know bilateral knee tendinitis and that was now three months three and a half months ago
05:32And those things don't they don't go away. It doesn't get cured and you can treat it and maybe he needs more treatment
05:38I'm not sure what they have going on with his knees
05:40but you look at last night and the energy of the team it looked like they were
05:46tired and
05:48You know taking a lot of shortcuts and I'm thinking about Draymond and Steph in particular where you get the ball on a steel
05:54Or rebound and you're trying these home run passes because you don't really want to run down the court
06:00And you can see Steph late in the game where there was a couple of turnovers and he basically was jogging back
06:06He was laboring back on defense and it's something you don't normally see from Steph and it looked like he was tired
06:13hurting
06:14Depressed frustrated all the above all the above it was it was really kind of tough to see especially when we've all been riding
06:22So high with what they've been doing well, so let's open it up to you Tim McMahon of ESPN
06:27He's gonna join us in a couple hours
06:28But this is a great day for warrior fans to weigh in and there's a couple things to get to we'll get to the Steph
06:33Stuff in in a little bit no doubt and if you are just joining us he is out tonight
06:37That is now official Steph Curry will not play Brandon Podjemski is expected back other than that
06:43It's a full roster and Milwaukee is relatively healthy, but incredibly disappointing on this this
06:49Anticipated back-to-back where so many stars are out Steph Curry tonight
06:54Jokic last night Jamal Murray last night, but let's start with what you see last night that you found concerning
07:028 at 8 9 5 7 9 5 70 again
07:05I'm not gonna project off of one loss. I always find it
07:11amusing
07:12When a team will win 14 of 16 games and in that last game the 16th one
07:18They lose and play really poorly and people go see
07:22That 14 of 15 was fake
07:24This is the real them why on earth would this be the real them? We've watched them 16 times
07:31So I don't that's why I say it's not a projection game
07:35What I find disappointing about it though
07:38Is that you have a team that whether it is through physical or mental fatigue
07:44You were unable to seize a moment and and that is the calling card of a great team is to seize the moments
07:52We always hear about that right playoff series is going this that way all the Warriors are down to one
07:58It's game four Steph's like I got this. It's game seven in Sacramento Steph's like I got this
08:04Well, this was your opportunity for breathing room with the Minnesota Timberwolves because you're telling us that you are
08:12Obsessed with staying out of the play in tournament. And if that's the case last night was imperative and you gagged it
08:20You gagged it with one of the I would argue the worst performance. I've seen all year
08:25Yeah, pretty bad pretty bad. So that that's what concerns me about last night
08:29Well two things concern me one you looked tired and I know that you should be tired and Draymond had a great quote after
08:36The game it's game 68 and you know, you're in the dog days and we're all tired
08:40Okay, you're all tired and I get that and it's not to excuse it. It's a reality, but
08:46unfortunately
08:46you don't have a cushion to where you can be tired and then you can go out and rest guys and you're gonna rest Steph
08:52Tonight and it doesn't make it so that you are more likely to win
08:55It makes it a little bit tougher. Obviously when you don't have your best player, but everyone's tired and I get that
09:02But I just look at Steph over the last five games
09:0532% from 3
09:0723 points a night which is kind of back to where he was before Jimmy Butler and I know there's been a lot of games
09:13In succession and Steph hasn't had to do it all there four and one of those games and so he hasn't had to carry it
09:19But last night watching him and watching Draymond kind of revert to that
09:24Frustrated mode gurus, right?
09:26It was a lot more I so ball and the big thing that makes me really a little bit troubled
09:32Is that defensively you had no answer for really anybody and that's true. I mean
09:38Yeah, we're gonna talk about Gordon, but you got you got caught by Russell Westbrook. Oh in the first half, especially
09:45Yeah, I mean he was in a triple-double that actually mattered. Yep. Yep for once you and I have talked about well
09:51He's the all-time leader. I think in triple-double. I think you're right and
09:54Most of them are empty. He's still a
09:57Hysterical offensive player it's getting worse. How many air balls shots are so funny, dude
10:03I'll pull up and he'll swish a three and then on the next possession. He's like watch this got the ha ha
10:09I'm gonna shoot again and the ball will come up six feet short
10:14It's not just an air ball. It's like dude. Did you actually think that was toward the rim?
10:19It went halfway there five of eighteen seven turnovers the weirdest player to watch
10:25He had 12 16 and 12 on
10:29five of 18 and
10:30Seven turnovers and his passing and decision-making in the first half though was beautiful, right?
10:36It like guys were they were on a layup line. They were on an absolute layup line
10:41Very very frustrating watch from the Warriors standpoint. And so you're right
10:45I think I think Steve Kerr and Rick Celebrity saw the same thing. You did you go to the locker room?
10:50It's like y'all must be exhausted and and and my concern is if you're exhausted. Well, where the hell is that going?
10:58What what is it between now in this June run that we've all decided is happening
11:03Where you're all gonna get a vacation and go to Cabo. I
11:07Didn't see that on the schedule. There's no room for I'm tired
11:11How are you supposed to do what what at what you say you're trying to do if you're you're too tired to do it
11:18Well, if you're the six seed you can do that. Are you gonna get the six seed if you can't play?
11:22Well, that's that to me becomes the big question here over the final what 15 games?
11:27Yeah, cuz if you're the seven you got to play now, you know play
11:31Yeah, you lose their when there's your Cabo week, but you don't get it if you can't be Denver without their best players. Yep
