Duolingo, plane queues: Are your travel habits giving Gen Z the ick?

00:03These are just some of the things Gen Z have deemed
00:05unacceptable when traveling.
00:07According to new research from hospitality group Generator,
00:10Gen Z have a whole host of so-called travel ics.
00:14First on the list, surprisingly and somewhat ironically,
00:17is filming TikTok or Instagram videos in public,
00:19with one in four Gen Zs expressing a dislike for this.
00:22Tied in first place was passengers wearing
00:25culturally inappropriate clothing.
00:27Next up was overly dramatic airport goodbyes,
00:30with roughly one in five Gen Zs finding this to be an icc.
00:3317% deemed flip-flops unacceptable,
00:36while 15% said the same of wearing tourist merchandise.
00:39Using Duolingo, buying foods from global chains,
00:42or using a passport cover also made the ick list.
00:46Generator's global director of brand marketing said,
00:49"'The message is clear.
00:50"'Blend in, travel smart,
00:52"'and leave the obvious tourist moves behind.'"
