00:08Crazy, I feel just as proud of it as I was when it happened, and it felt very full circle,
00:17you know, our nomination in this feels like it really encompasses the sentiment of juntos somos
00:22mas, we're so much more when we come together, it was the year before Peso Pluma was on the
00:27main stage for his own act, that I was on the main stage for my own act, and I invited him
00:32even before our collaboration had come out, because I was like, bro, you are a rock star,
00:37you've got next, and you need to be on this stage, and we need to put Musica Mexicana
00:42on a global stage for people to know what's up, and then, and then he invited me to be back last
00:48year, and so it's just like very full circle. And I mean, you say putting the Mexicana on the
00:52main stage, like seeing him last night at Rolling Loud, which is a hip hop festival,
00:56like how has it been to watch his journey kind of like blow up in that way?
00:59It's been incredible. I mean, I feel like if you know him, it's not a surprise. The way he thinks,
01:06the way he shows up in a room, he's so intentional, but he's also so lax. And I think it's,
01:12it's like I said, that rock star quality where you're just like, you're just meant to be here.
01:18I just I admire that about him.
01:20And then of course, you just released some music not too long ago, but I hear you might
01:23be playing around in the studio a little bit.
01:26I don't know how to not work. I swear to God, my team's like, take some time off,
01:29don't do anything. And then like, literally like 24 hours ago, I'm like, so
01:33Who's the new Becky G?
01:36When do we need to be in the studio? And I think making Esquinas and Encuentros,
01:41my last two albums the last two years, were like this coming home to myself experience.
01:46And I think it's the rawest, most realist I've ever been in my artistry,
01:50and most connected to who I am deep down inside. And it's given me this like,
01:56I don't know, this newfound sense of confidence and empowerment and self awareness that now I'm
02:01just like, I want to keep making music. And I wonder what it's going to sound like now.
02:04Love that for you. And you talk about empowerment. We have women in music at the end of this month.
02:08We got some incredible people there. Dochi, our woman of the year, Glorilla,
02:11Megan Marooney, Meghan Trainor, any of those women you know that you've worked
02:14with that you want to just shout out? 100% I mean, Dochi is one of my favorite artists.
02:18I adore her. I'm so happy for her. We actually, funny enough, the year that I won the Impact
02:24Award, we were sharing a dressing room. Stop it.
02:29She was she was performing. And I was receiving my Impact Award and also performing. And if you
02:34know backstage, there's not a lot of dressing rooms. And so we were like musical chairs in there.
02:38And she's just adorable. And I just and she's badass. Like how can you not love Dochi?
02:44Also, Tyla. Tyla is getting the Impact Award this year, I believe. So I'm just so proud of
02:49everybody. And then Megan. I love Megan. We go way back. Oh, my God. We did Macy's Thanksgiving
02:54Day Parade. Stop it. Ask her about it when you see her. I swear to God, she's gonna laugh.
02:58We were in the trailer together and I was so nervous. It's like shower days. So wow.
