00:00I am never not happy to be with AJ. How's it going? I got my white suit pressed. I'm ready for the spear. So how are rehearsals going?
00:07We're right now in the pre-rehearsal phases. We're going through content ideas, set list,
00:14music transitions, you know, there's about
00:1824 songs in the show. So
00:20there's some medleys. Otherwise, it'll be a four-hour show and we'd be dead. So
00:25But no, this is kind of the real fun part going through all the different creative aspects. The fact that we are as
00:32hands-on as we could possibly be with the incredible team that is behind this. Baz and Richmond and Tone and
00:40amazing stylists, Tierney, just everybody that's making this show possible. So we're stoked, man.
00:45And I know you can't say too much,
00:47but what's something visually you've seen so far that you guys are using that has impressed you?
00:50Um,
00:52there is something that will be very cold. Oh
00:57and
00:58very
01:00intense. That's all. Cold and intense Backstreet Boys. Get your tickets in Vegas. You might want to experience that.
01:06And then say and I know you also have some new music new music coming in April.
01:10So are you guys gonna get the chance to show off some of your solo stuff at all?
01:13Um, not in this particular show, but I do plan on hopefully doing some
01:18solo shows to promote the EP coming out later this year, a brand new single within the next couple months.
01:24I've been working on this project for almost three years and it's finally come to a head and
01:28I cannot wait to share it with the world. I'm gonna introduce,
01:33reintroduce, I should say, myself to the world as
01:36Alexander James. There you go. That is who I really am. AJ is a character.
01:40I play in a band and that's fine. But now we get to see the real guy.
01:43Now you get to really see Alex for who Alex is. So I'm so stoked.
01:47And speaking of product we got coming, building the band, obviously it was Liam's last project.
01:51How is it to get ready to for people to see that project? You know what? I'm doing my final VO tomorrow.
01:56I've seen some edits already. The show looks incredible.
02:00The level of talent on this show is
02:03unprecedented and there's been talent on other shows.
02:06I'm not dissing any other shows, but the talent on this show is mind-blowing and it's breaking the stigma on how bands
02:13come together. So I can't give too much away,
02:15but it's going to break that stigma and I'm an honor to be a part of it.
02:18Man, a legend being a part of building a boy band, can't wait to watch.
02:21Amen, it's gonna be good. And then lastly, Billboard Women in Music is at the end of this month.
02:23We're honoring some amazing women like Money Long, who's here tonight, Megan Marooney. Anybody you're a fan of?
02:29I mean, you know what? I love all the women of all genres.
02:33You know, I grew up in a single-parent household.
02:37So I've learned to put women up on a pedestal where they deserve to be. Women are queens and princesses.
02:43I have two princesses that definitely act like queens.
02:47So to be able to honor the women in this industry is my hats off to all of them.
