00:00Sudanese authorities announced on Sunday the discovery of multiple bodies at the bottom of a well in Khartoum,
00:08just days following the military expulsion of a notorious paramilitary group from the area.
00:15According to police, 11 bodies, including those of women and children,
00:20were pulled from the deep well situated in the Fayyar neighborhood on Saturday.
00:28During the environmental preparation and removal of war remnants in the East Nile locality,
00:34we were alerted to a body found in the well in Al-Fayyar Block 8.
00:39The civil defense forces, along with our collaborators from the Sudanese Red Crescent
00:44and the forensic medicine department quickly went to the site to extract the bodies.
00:49Thankfully, they were able to recover several bodies throughout the day,
00:53which will be buried in the designated areas for war victims.
00:59According to the police, the victims were murdered by the rapid support forces
01:03and then thrown into the well during the time the paramilitary group held power in the area.
01:09These individuals were killed by the rapid support forces near us and left for two to three days.
01:15Many people saw this and we have experienced a great deal ourselves.
