"Summer solstice" was the third album by the British folk duo Maddy Prior and Tim Hart, and was released in 1971, when the duo had already helped found Steeleye Span. Compared to the previous two folk albums, "Summer solstice" is characterized by the discrete inclusion of electric instruments as well as the use of multitracking recording techniques.
