00:19In the survey of the Social Weather Station last February,

00:22which was commissioned by the Advisory and Research Consultancy Group, the StratBase,

00:2662% of Filipinos believe that a serious problem is fake news in the country.

00:32Most Filipinos also find it hard to discuss if the information they are watching, hearing, or reading is true or false.

00:40This survey was conducted on February 15 to 19, 2025,

00:44using a face-to-face interview with registered voters aged 18 and above with a plus-minus 2.31% margin of error.

00:52The National Bureau of Investigation is monitoring the 20 vloggers who are posting fake news on social media.

01:00They have a list of vloggers and their Filipinos in the past few days and are studying their possible punishment.

01:06The names of the NBI are not mentioned.

01:09But according to the NBI, a vlogger based in America has two warrants of arrest.

01:16Cyber libel, inciting to sedition.

01:22Our citizens are making jokes. They say we have freedom of speech, freedom of expression, but I always say that is not absolute.

01:34There is a limitation. If you exceed the parameters of the law, you are committing treason, we need to enforce it.

01:44The Malacanang, which is also one of the priorities of the fight against fake news, is encouraging the NBI on possible steps.

01:51It is very obvious that more fake news are lingering, maybe because of the present situation regarding the arrest of former President Duterte.

02:07We saw how the former ES Medialdea mentioned that the former President Duterte is missing.

02:15That was a lie by the ICC.

02:18Those irresponsible statements should be investigated, thought about and evaluated so that our minds and feelings will not be disturbed.

02:32The Malacanang is also encouraging other government agencies like NTC and DICT to answer those spreading fake news.

02:40The President is not an onion and will not be affected by the slaps that are being thrown at him.

02:46But the Malacanang reminds us that freedom of speech and freedom of expression has a limit.

02:52If the element of inciting sedition is already there, which is, of course, without any tumultuous uprising,

03:03but they are encouraging people to show hatred to the government, to the President, then we have to step up.
