00:00Uh, the Miami dolphins in the midst of free agency, uh, they bring back
00:04yesterday, Liam, I can learn.
00:06Uh, so there was that they also, you know, signed Alex Madison, Alexander
00:12Madison, a running back from the Las Vegas, basically you had a swap yesterday.
00:18I wasn't a trade, but it was, but you're switching running backs.
00:21So Madison from the Raiders ends up in Miami.
00:24Most start ends up in Las Vegas.
00:26No trade skis though.
00:27Just happens.
00:29Like I hate when that happens.
00:31So it happened twice yesterday.
00:32Happened with the linebackers.
00:33Anthony Walker ends up in Tampa.
00:35The dolphins end up with Brit from Tampa Bay.
00:38So it happened twice yesterday, Vlad.
00:40And speaking of what's what's what's with you guys?
00:43What do you mean?
00:44It's the first time we've talked, but it's, Oh, dude.
00:47Yeah.
00:47What, what's, what's, what's, what is with you guys grabbing the jets?
00:51I handed him, dude.
00:52I don't know.
00:53And I, and I got to tell you, Mikey Blanco, now Zach Wilson.
00:59Well, the other thing that's crazy about it is this one, Zach Wilson's
01:03got to have some agent because I'm looking at all the numbers that
01:06are thrown around out there.
01:07No one got the money that this guy did.
01:09And he doesn't need the money.
01:11That's crazy.
01:12I'm sitting here and I'm like, wait a minute, wait a minute.
01:14McCorkle, you know, has had a more successful career and he
01:19signed him for, for half the money in San Francisco, uh, Mason Rudolph.
01:25It was like career backup, but he signed for four year.
01:28I'm just, he went back to Pittsburgh though.
01:31He did.
01:31He did.
01:32But I'm just trying to figure out like this guy got 6 million
01:36just off the bat, off the jump.
01:38Has anybody got, I saw Minshew sign with the chief yesterday.
01:40I don't know what he got.
01:42I'm not sure what Minshew ended up getting.
01:43I know Minshew, I think made the most, even though he's kind of a
01:46starter for Vegas, but, uh, I don't know.
01:49I dude, I don't know what's up with it.
01:51And quite frankly, I'm very nervous.
01:53This is the thing.
01:56It's not like I can crush the dolphin signings, but I don't even
02:00like some of the guys being options.
02:02So like when I'm mad at the Eichenberg thing, like I understand, you
02:06know, Omar's saying to people, stop being Peter Pan, grow up.
02:09He's here for the minimum.
02:10What's the big deal.
02:12And while that's true, because a lot of linemen are making a lot of money.
02:16I get you.
02:16He knows the system, you know, I'm, I don't even want to be in an
02:20option addition by subtraction.
02:24And the same thing was Zach Wilson.
02:26It's like, is it an outlandish amount of money for a quarterback?
02:29No, but it's more than other people got who are more qualified than him.
02:36And also let's just say two goes to a, and he throws his head into somebody
02:42and ends up out for four games because he has a propensity to do that.
02:45And I love the guy, but let's just say he does that where a snap away
02:51or a two, a bad decision away from this guy being the starting quarterback.
02:55And I don't know.
02:58All right.
02:58He has so-called talent.
03:01He has the tools.
03:03Yes.
03:04He has talent, but we don't know if he's good at this.
03:07We have no idea.
03:09Okay.
03:09So let me talk to you.
03:12The kid has talent and he spent a year under Sean Payton.
03:18That's true.
03:20We saw a Sean Payton, a year.
03:22James Winston had under Sean Payton.
03:24We saw it, the change in James Winston.
03:27He still went back to being James Winston, but that's what outside
03:30of the Sean Payton umbrella.
03:32But once he was under the Sean Brayton umbrella, he was more
03:35of a competent quarterback.
03:38So Sam Darnold, same way.
03:40Look at him now, Kevin O'Connell.
03:42Look at him now.
03:42He's a starting quarterback in Seattle, making a hundred million.
03:46So with Zach, if it's only a couple of games, he can hold
03:51it down for a couple of games.
03:53Now, if it has to be more than like a couple of games, then you have problems.
03:58Right.
03:58I mean, like, look, that's going to be the situation that the
04:00dolphins are in anyway.
04:01And I think to me, that's probably why the dolphins haven't restructured to it.
04:05They haven't restructured to it.
04:06To me, that's probably why the dolphins haven't restructured to his deal.
04:11I didn't actually think it's the prudent thing to do, because let's just say if
04:15let's say, and I don't want this to happen, but it's just the reality
04:17of having him at quarterback.
04:19And for everybody who was skeptical on it, look, you guys turned out to be right.
04:23Cause if the dolphins would have had last year with Tua and gone into his final
04:26year, who knows what he would've gotten?
04:28I don't know.
04:29Um, but this is it.
04:31I mean, they got to live with the consequences of paying them.
04:34So the reality is the entire, if it ends up still being an issue this year, and
04:39it's not, let's not even say it's the head, let's say it's the hip.
04:42Let's say it's whatever injury he deals with.
04:44You can't tie yourself down more to him.
04:47You just got to hope, Hey, we were almost in the playoffs last year.
04:51He missed six games.
04:52He can play and he's healthy.
04:54We feel good about our chances of at least making the playoffs, beating the bills.
04:59Why talk about, why talk about unicorns and pixies?
05:01Like, you know, nobody's being in that division.
05:05Here's the fear for you guys.
05:07Here's another fear.
05:09What if Tua does get hurt and Zach actually plays?
05:12Well, this kid is listen, man, this kid is central casting.
05:16He looks like what you would want from a quarterback, the good looks, the rich
05:22family, this kid, I'm telling you Boca Raton in high school musical, like he's
05:27got that baby face.
05:29We're going to, the, the fan base is going to go crazy.
05:32If this kid starts playing well, well, here's, what's going to happen.
05:35I can, I can already see now his first game where he's chucking bombs to, as
05:43you comment, the preseason and everyone's going to be thinking about it.
05:46Preseason is going to be like 65,000.
05:48We're going to wonder why it's all 40 year old and older.
05:52Everyone's going to be going crazy for the kid, but I don't straight out of central
05:56but here's the, okay.
05:57You, you mentioned the champagne thing.
05:59Here's my thing.
06:00Okay.
06:01Why didn't champagne keep him?
06:02Like he kept Stidham.
06:04Like there's a vet and Stidham was good for a bone mix.
06:08I don't know.
06:09Here's the thing.
06:11Bo Nix and Zach Wilson, even though Zach had more stats starts than him,
06:15they were pretty much.
06:18Yeah, this is probably the same age.
06:20They're probably the same age.
06:21They're probably like, if you look at them, they're young, they're inexperienced.
06:24So, but Bo had more, you know, promise than Zach, at least in
06:28Peyton's eyes to run his offense.
06:31Dade says what's denim it's because he wanted 6 million, which
06:34again, gets back to my point.
06:36It's like, this guy knew him more than anybody, but he's like too rich for my
06:39blood and here's the other problem.
06:42Oh, and not a problem, but here's the other thing.
06:43Maybe when, uh, what's his name?
06:46When might be Daniels with the Niners, they had, they were very high on Zach
06:50Wilson when they were going through the draft process, it's possible that happens
06:53a lot sometimes when you have a high mark, it's like McCorkle and yeah, it's
06:57like McCorkle ending up in San Fran, right?
06:59Like everybody thought that originally that they wanted to take him at three
07:01and then it'd be like, that's ridiculous.
07:03How could you do that?
07:04And they took Trey Lance, which ended up being a terrible
07:05decision because he's in Dallas.
07:07Um, so I don't know.
