00:09In a cave in Spain, a man discovered a bone that is said to be possible to give a new look to the history of mankind.

00:16The so-called fossil is believed to have originated from an unknown ancient human species.

00:23This is the piece of bone that was discovered by archaeologists in a cave in Spain.

00:31A facial fossil that is believed to be 1.1 to 1.4 million years old.

00:36This is why it is now the oldest known fossil in Western Europe.

00:39The facial anatomy of the fossil that they gave as a gift is pink.

00:42It is said to be more primitive than the Homo antecessor that lived in Western Europe.

00:46It is believed to be 800,000 years old to 1.2 million years old.

00:50It has some similarities to the Homo erectus, the first human species to migrate from Africa.

00:56But since it is just a piece of the recovered fossil, experts are still investigating

01:00to ascertain if pink is related to an unidentified ancient human species.

01:10Here in the Philippines, one of the earliest known human remains is the bones discovered in Tabon Cave in Quezon, Palawan in 1962.

01:17It is believed to be 47,000 years old.

01:23But since 2007, fossils have been discovered in Cagayan that are said to be older than Tabon Man.

01:33In 2007, 2011, and 2015,

01:36it was discovered in Calao Cave in the province of Cagayan that there are 7 teeth and 6 small bones.

01:43After a thorough study, it was discovered that the fossil is 67,000 years old.

01:49In Calao, it is said to be older than Tabon Man.

01:53This new species is called Homo antecessor.
