00:00Some high-ranking officials of other countries personally received President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. in Malacanang.

00:17In the continuous advance of the Philippines in the field of diplomacy and government,

00:21President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. was pleasantly received by

00:25Slovenian Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Tanja Fahon in Malacanang.

00:31The President expressed his gratitude to Vice Prime Minister Fahon

00:34for bringing the first embassy of Slovenia in Southeast Asia, particularly in Manila.

00:39He said that it will serve as a pathway for deeper cooperation between the two countries,

00:44particularly in the field of diplomacy and governance.

00:48The two officials also discussed the Loss and Damage Fund,

00:51where the Philippines was chosen as a board.

00:54He said that it is a good thing for Slovenia and the Philippines,

00:57particularly in terms of the effects of climate change.

01:01Ambassador Eduardo Antonio Young, D.R.Z., was also welcomed by the President

01:05as the new body of Panama in the Philippines.

01:08The President also gave the firm position of the Philippines and Panama

01:11as an important center of bilateral and maritime relations,

01:14and he expects their partnership to be strengthened for the benefit of their citizens.

01:21Attorney Antonio Cerriles was also welcomed by the President as the Presidential Advisor on Mindanao Concerns.

01:27According to the President, Cerriles has extensive experience in serving the public

01:31as a former governor of Zamboanga del Sur, a congressman, and a member of the D.N.R.

01:36His experience is expected to be important in the continued efforts of the administration

01:42to bring real progress to Mindanao.

01:45He was also formally appointed as the Interim Chief Minister of the Moro Transition Authority,

01:50Abdul Rauf Makakwa.

01:52After his oath-taking, the President believes that Makakwa will continue

01:57the progress that the government has established in BARMM.

02:00In addition to the Executive Board, Makakwa reached a critical period of leadership

02:05while the region was preparing for the first parliamentary elections.

02:10Makakwa is confident that the transition will be well-established

02:13for the strong future of the people of the region.
