00:00Serving the people of New Hampshire, first as state senator, then as governor, and now in the United States Senate, is an incredible honor.

00:09New Hampshire is where Billy and I chose to start our family, raised our three daughters, and now we're watching our grandchildren grow up.

00:17I ran for public office to make a difference for the people of New Hampshire.

00:22That purpose has never and will never change.

00:26But today, after careful consideration, I am announcing that I have made the difficult decision not to seek re-election to the Senate in 2026.

00:37It's just time.

00:39To my remarkable and dedicated staff, and to all those who have partnered with us over the years, thank you.

00:47Together we have made a difference.

00:50Above all, thanks to my family, who have always been by my side.

00:55To my husband, Billy, who's been there through good times and bad.

00:59Our daughters, Stephanie, Stacy, and Molly.

01:02Our sons-in-law, Craig, Ryan, and Hugh.

01:05And our seven wonderful grandchildren.

01:08They're the best.

01:10There are urgent challenges ahead, both here at home and around the world.

01:16And while I'm not seeking re-election, believe me, I am not retiring.

01:22I am determined to work every day over the next two years and beyond to continue to try and make a difference for the people of New Hampshire and this country.

01:31I hope you'll join me in that effort.
