00:00And next, for Reuters, Daphne Salidakis.
00:04Thank you so much. Could you clarify what security assistance will be resumed?
00:08Does this include the PDAs? And why wasn't the minerals deal
00:12signed today? What are the outstanding issues there? And if I may, is the
00:16relationship with the Ukrainian President Zelensky back on track? Do you back him?
00:20Well, let me answer the second, or the third. You had two, and then I'll let the
00:24security advisor talk about the defense and security assistance.
00:28On the second question, let me answer first on the minerals deal. As part of our
00:32communication today, that is something that was negotiated through our Treasury and his
00:36counterpart on the Ukrainian side. And so the President, and you see that expressed,
00:40both Presidents will instruct the appropriate members of our governments to bring
00:44to finality the signature of the deal, the signature of this agreement.
00:48So that was communicated today, and that's going to happen. That was not the subject of our
00:52talks today. I thought I expressed that on our way in. We were here
00:56in pursuit of peace. That doesn't mean the minerals deal is not very important. It most certainly is.
01:00And we expressed that today in the statements we put out jointly, that the President
01:04our respective Presidents have instructed the appropriate members
01:08of their governments to bring this to finality and to conclusion. The second
01:12part of your question was? Does the security assistance include the PDAs?
01:16No, there was one after that. And is Zelensky's relationship back on track?
01:20What's back on track here, hopefully, is peace. That's what matters the most. I know everyone's looking
01:24for who likes, this is serious stuff. This is not mean girls.
01:28This is not some episode of some television show. This is very serious. Today, people
01:32will die in this war. They died yesterday, and sadly, unless there's a ceasefire tonight,
01:36they'll die tomorrow. The President wants that to stop. That's what he's interested
01:40in here. That's why we came here. That's why we're grateful for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
01:44hosting us here. And what we leave here with today is a commitment
01:48that the Ukrainians are ready to stop fighting. They're ready to stop the shooting
01:52so they can get to the table and bring about peace for their country and for the world
01:56on the security. Well, I mean, I just can't echo enough. President Trump's
02:00President of Peace. That's what he's demanding, and he's willing to take tough measures
02:04on all sides to drive that home.
02:08And in terms of the security assistance, it's the current Presidential Drawdown Authority.
02:12I'll refer to the Defense Department on the eaches of what munition
02:16was where in the process, but it's the current PDA
02:20that will proceed to the Ukrainians.
