00:00So when all of this started on the day after the inauguration, we warned all of you that
00:11chaos would be up.
00:12We've been right.
00:13We warned you that corruption would be up.
00:14We were right.
00:15We warned you that costs would go up and create disasters with these terrorists.
00:22We were right.
00:23And now we're here to warn you about something else.
00:25And that is their threats to mess around with Medicaid and with Social Security are real.
00:34It isn't just a game.
00:36During the joint address, the president spent three minutes mocking Social Security.
00:41Many of those claims that he made were found to be lies by major newspapers.
00:48It's a red alert for the 73 million Americans that Senator Durbin and Schumer mentioned,
00:52but also for four in 10 seniors, Social Security is, in fact, their primary source of income.
01:01The president and his billionaire pal, the richest man in the world, have been looking
01:08for ways to pay for their tax cuts for the wealthiest.
01:11They're looking for $2 trillion.
01:13They are ransacking through the government to find it, ask anyone that's been fired.
01:19The US team is now trying to fire 7,000 men and women who work every day to make sure
01:24seniors get their hard-earned checks on time.
01:28So I know a little bit about this.
01:30I've got a very strong state office that works on constituent matters all the time.
01:35I can tell you right now, when things get messed up, and they do for seniors, for veterans,
01:40they're not going to get on an AI chat line right now.
01:43Maybe generations from now they will, but that's not going to work for them right now.
01:47And guess what else?
01:48They do not have Elon Musk cell phones.
01:51The seniors of this country don't have Elon's number.
01:55They don't have anyone to call.
01:57That's why they go to the local offices, and often they will call the senator's office
02:02and then we call someone at Social Security to figure out what went wrong.
02:06A spouse died.
02:08They don't know what happened to the check.
02:09They moved to assisted living.
02:11These things happen all the time.
02:14That's why we have these local offices.
02:16In addition, this administration has exposed Social Security data, potentially disclosing
02:22millions of Americans' personal information, as Tiffany Flick, who served as the Social
02:27Security Agency's acting chief of staff until she was forced out, sat in a court filing
02:32yesterday.
02:33If Social Security's longstanding procedures continue to be ignored by DOJ, that could
02:39result in benefits not being paid out, delay in payments.
02:42The stakes are high.
02:44She is absolutely right.
02:46And to our Republican colleagues, with everything happening right now, we say they are elected
02:53officials.
02:54They are not subjects to a king.
02:57They have the ability to stand up.
02:59In fact, if three of them would do it in the House, or four of them, depending on the type
03:04of vote, would do it in the Senate, they could stop this.
03:07They could do something about the tariffs, and they could certainly do something about
03:11this assault on Social Security.
