00:00Liverpool manager Arnie Schlott has been handed a two-match ban and fined £70,000 following a
00:08confrontation with referee Michael Oliver after his side's 2-2 Merseyside derby draw.
00:13Schlott confronted Oliver and an assistant referee on the pitch allegedly swearing and
00:20saying if we don't win the league I'll blame you. Schlott disputed the claim stating he said
00:26if we don't win the league I will have you to thank for that. However the Football Association
00:31Commission found it more likely than not that Schlott used the alleged language leading to his
00:37sanction. The FA also alleged that Schlott used abusive language towards the assistant referee
00:43calling the performance a disgrace. Schlott accepted the charge admitting to using inappropriate
00:50language. The FA argued that despite the discrepancy over the words used the conduct
00:57still amounted to improper behaviour. Schlott expressed regret for his actions acknowledging
01:02that his frustrations from decisions during the game got the better of him. He later issued a
01:08sincere apology which contributed to the reduction of his fine from £100,000. His assistant Spike
01:16Hulshoff was also banned for two matches and fined £7,000 after approaching Oliver in an
01:21aggressive manner. The incident was triggered by a dramatic 98-minute equaliser by Everton's
01:27James Tarkovsky in the final Merseyside derby at Goodison Park. Liverpool disputed the goal
01:33following a VAR check for a foul in the build-up which escalated with both teams and players
01:39clashed and Schlott and Hulshoff were both sent off. In a more positive development, Boxpark
01:46Liverpool has launched a new travel service aimed at enhancing the matchday experience
01:51for both Everton and Liverpool fans. The service offers return tickets from Boxpark in the Baltic
01:57Triangle to Anfield and Goodison Park complete with a food token and two drink tokens for use
02:03at the venue. The company plans to continue the service next season
02:08even as Everton prepare to move to its new stadium at Bramley Moor Dock.
