00:00That's a tough question. Everybody's different, aren't they?
00:05Some people don't give their kids phones or tablets, etc.
00:09Others will, for that peace and quiet sometimes.
00:13But I think it's just a case of there's a lot out there now
00:16where you can obviously put security and privacy on whatever device you're using.
00:20Just having a phone for a kid that they can call you on
00:25and maybe introducing them to social media yourself,
00:28explaining the concepts, what might happen, stuff like that.
00:33You know how you have sex ed? Maybe you can just have social media ed or something.
00:40Either you're completely laissez-faire and say what will happen will happen
00:44and they need to learn from their own mistakes.
00:47But considering the consequences of some of these mistakes,
00:51I would personally go for a degree of monitoring.
00:55I think it's the only way and parental education are the best ways to protect.
