00:00It will be a brighter night for the families who live in a barangay in Nagas City, Cebu.

00:19Residents of Barangay Lana in Nagas City, Cebu gathered for the house wiring project of the Electric Utility Company with the help of the program of the Department of Energy.

00:30They are the pilot beneficiaries in Visayas where 26 houses are free to have a power line

00:36in accordance with the Energy Regulations or ER1-94 of the DOE.

00:41The main goal of the program is to help the communities that have energy generating facilities like Nagas City that has a KEPCO power plant.

00:49Here, the community gives the right to financial benefit of one cent per kilowatt hour in electricity sales of the generating companies.

00:59We are calling for our lines at the center of Cebu, Cebu, Cebu, to add more houses that have no electricity.

01:10As mentioned, the electrification plan, so first, it will be directly distributed to the distribution utilities like in this case here in Naga,

01:20because the KEPCO is our main franchise area.
