00:00All individuals are innocent until proven guilty by a court of law.
00:04Put the gun down! Put the gun down!
00:08Put the gun down!
00:11It's probably got at least 80 miles an hour, 35 mile an hour zone.
00:15This is somebody that we've had a number of contacts with.
00:18Come here!
00:21We're going to locate an aggravated assault suspect.
00:24Sheriff's office, come to the door.
00:28Well, y'all going to just give him a ticket for when to stop, son?
00:31He had four warrants and cocaine.
00:33Well, damn, baby.
00:43My name is Curtis Hoskins.
00:45I'm originally from a small town outside of Eugene, Oregon.
00:49I ended up on the East Coast because of the military.
00:52I enjoyed it in the South, just the overall culture down here.
00:56It was a lot different than growing up on the West Coast
00:59and just decided to never go back out West.
01:02I just feel that it suits my personality a little bit better.
01:11Just dispatched to a call about a male walking around with firearms.
01:16It's not illegal, however, definitely raises concern,
01:19especially in the general public.
01:21It is nighttime as well, so we'll ride the area,
01:25see if we see anyone.
01:27If we do, try to figure out what's going on.
01:46I'm going to hop this fence as soon as he pulls over there.
01:55All right.
02:11Hey, how you doing, sir?
02:13What you got going on?
02:17What, you mind stepping out for me?
02:20Hey, put the gun down.
02:22Put the gun down!
02:24Put the gun down!
02:27Put the gun... Get out of the car.
02:29What's going on?
02:31Get out of the car. Walk to your left.
02:33Your left, your left, your left, your left!
02:39Move to your left.
02:42Get down on your knees, listen to my commands.
02:45Listen to what he says.
02:46Get down on your knees, listen to my commands.
02:49What's going on?
02:50Cross your ankles! Cross your ankles!
02:53You got your contact.
02:55Get down on your belly. Get down on your belly.
02:57What? Get down on your belly.
02:59I don't understand.
03:00Spread your arms out.
03:02What am I being charged with?
03:03Right now, we're just going to detain you.
03:04Don't make any sudden movements.
03:05Do you understand?
03:06I understand.
03:07Do you understand?
03:08Yeah.
03:09OK.
03:10We arrived at the call.
03:11I came around the open door of the vehicle
03:13and saw that the individual had a gun in his hand.
03:15It was pretty intense there for a couple seconds.
03:18What am I being charged with?
03:19You're not being charged.
03:20We're just going to detain you, OK?
03:21The individual did end up complying,
03:23but that was closer than I ever want to get
03:26to pointing my firearm at someone.
03:28What's going on?
03:29I don't understand.
03:30OK.
03:32All right, so we are called out to this area
03:34for an individual with a gun.
03:36I get here, and I make contact with you,
03:39and in your right hand, which is probably your dominant hand,
03:43you're messing with a gun, right?
03:45Yeah.
03:46OK, I was just playing with it.
03:47That's all.
03:48Well, I understand.
03:49But when I'm talking to you, don't you think
03:51that's a reason for concern?
03:53Yeah, I guess so.
03:54I mean.
03:55OK.
03:56You're very, very lucky tonight, sir.
03:59I didn't mean to aim it at you guys.
04:01I really didn't.
04:02I didn't know who you were.
04:03I really didn't know who you were.
04:05OK, well.
04:08It's in my back pocket.
04:11You live out of your car, I'm guessing?
04:13Yes, I do.
04:14OK.
04:18And I mean, there's nothing wrong with having guns.
04:21There's nothing wrong with loving guns.
04:23You just got to be appropriate.
04:24I'm looking sick.
04:25I apologize for doing it.
04:26I didn't mean to aim it at anybody.
04:36I thought he was about to get waxed.
04:38I thought it was about to be a bad day.
04:42We're about to.
04:44Where'd you get the handgun from?
04:46I bought it from a firearm from a weapon store
04:49back in Arizona.
04:51They shipped it to me here.
04:57I had the weapon for a few years.
05:00Yes, I got you.
05:03Hey, can you verify another one for me?
05:09C37C Charlie Zebra.
05:16All right, thank you.
05:17We ran him.
05:18He didn't have any felonies or anything like that.
05:20And the firearm he has was legal.
05:23More than anything, I'd like him to get an eval.
05:25But I ain't going to charge him for that.
05:28He didn't do it maliciously.
05:30He was probably startled, surprised.
05:32But I ain't got charges on me.
05:38Are you good with cutting him loose?
05:40Yeah.
05:43Do me a favor.
05:44Stand up for me, sir.
05:47I've got bad knees.
05:48All right, what's the best way to get you up then?
05:57Just a little bit of common sense, OK?
05:59Whether I'm the mailman, the UPS man,
06:03or Richmond County deputy, OK?
06:08I'm going to secure this firearm for just a second
06:11until we can all exit safely.
06:13No problem.
06:14All right.
06:15411.
06:18I'm going to get on out of here.
06:19But just so you know, I truly are very lucky.
06:23All right, sorry.
06:25That bottle cap's going to be a little bit of a pain
06:27in the butt to get out of there.
06:28That's why I did it.
06:29You'll be able to get it out.
06:30No damage to the vehicle or to the firearm.
06:33You've got your pistol magazines right here.
06:35The first two rounds are backwards.
06:37Make sure you safely load that.
06:39You're going to be given a warning tonight.
06:41All right?
06:42This is a hard lesson learned.
06:43I'm glad it wasn't harder.
06:44Truly.
06:45This is as close as you get to getting shot by the police
06:49without getting shot.
06:50So hopefully it's a one and done experience for you.
06:52You're right.
06:53So you're good.
06:54All right?
06:55I hope your night gets better, OK?
06:56You have a good night, too.
06:57Yes, sir.
07:03Again, I believe it was an honest mistake.
07:05Honest mistakes happen.
07:06And now we can let the complainant
07:08know that the individual she most likely saw
07:11is authorized to be there.
07:13And the firearm he has was legal.
07:21Oh, my god.
07:22Oh, that's bigger than me.
07:23Oh, my god.
07:24Put the taser down, dude.
07:26Put the taser down, dude.
07:28You suck.
07:29You suck.
07:44My name's Deputy Hardeep Singh.
07:46I like to be proactive.
07:47I'm late.
07:48Community policing, you know, getting out of your car
07:50and talk to people, see if they want to talk to us.
07:53Howdy.
07:54How you doing?
07:55You all right today?
07:56Yes, sir.
07:57Everybody OK?
07:58Yes, sir.
07:59You all going home?
08:00Yes, sir.
08:01I just want to make sure everybody's OK.
08:02Yeah, we're good.
08:03All right.
08:04What's up, man?
08:05Oh, they report you.
08:06Yeah.
08:07People see you.
08:08People see your, you know, patrol car.
08:10And you're getting out.
08:11And you're getting out in the community
08:12and interacting with folks.
08:14So, you know, it could be somebody
08:16that is having a bad day, just need somebody to talk to.
08:20I think that's one of the best things
08:22I love about this place.
08:23You want to be out here doing what you can.
08:26So it fits me.
08:33We're going to go to a motel here
08:35off Thornton Highway and Molly Pond
08:38to possibly locate a aggravated assault suspect that
08:42was on the news, per the complainant.
08:44But you never know what you're going to get.
08:46Guns, dope, everything can be in that room.
08:49You don't know who's in that room, right?
08:51You know?
08:52So.
08:53Well, I want to follow you.
08:55Come on in.
09:08Come on.
09:29The door's open.
09:30The door's open.
09:39Come on.
09:45Sheriff's office, come to the door.
09:47Come to the door.
09:50Come to the door.
10:00Sheriff's office, go ahead and open the door, brother.
10:06Let me get my rifle.
10:07Let me get my rifle.
10:17Sheriff's office, open the door.
10:24Richmond County Sheriff's office, open the front door.
10:37Who's on the side of the bed?
10:38Me.
10:39Get off the bed.
10:41Down on the ground.
10:42Who else is in the top room?
10:43Come down here.
10:44In the bathroom?
10:45Who's in the bathroom?
10:46What's your name?
10:47Come here, Malcolm.
10:48Come to me now.
10:49Come here.
10:50What's your name?
10:51Come here.
10:52What the fuck is this?
10:53Just be entertained for the time being.
10:54Just give me one second.
10:55Let's split up a few things, brother.
10:57You got a person with a knife that's
11:00stuck on his warrant, all right?
11:02So at the time of the evidence, we'll place you right here.
11:04OK?
11:05Once we approach the suspect.
11:06The biggest thing is the officer's safety.
11:07I always have to have that in mind,
11:09that she knows behind the door.
11:10If not, take precaution.
11:12Every step of the way.
11:13That's the biggest issue, is precaution.
11:14So make sure everybody goes home.
11:16Make sure everybody's 36720.
11:18Head on a swivel at all times.
11:20Now, I'm going to sit you in the back of my car.
11:22I'm going to verify some information.
11:24All right?
11:25Let's go from there.
11:26The fact that they shut the door on us,
11:28it might be the subject that we are looking for.
11:30We're going to figure it out.
11:31We're going to figure out all four of them,
11:33see if any of them have warrants.
11:35Who's that?
11:36That ain't you.
11:38Are you lying about your name now?
11:40You know that's another charge, right?
11:43That's not going to be him, man.
11:44I'm going to take a look at the other guy that's on charge.
11:46That looks like the other guy.
11:48That looks just like the other guy.
11:50So the guy that we might be looking for
11:52does look like the other individual that was inside.
11:55So.
11:56I'm walking down to my car.
11:57All right?
11:58You aware that you had an active one
11:59with this kind of sheriff's office?
12:01All right, well, that's the reason
12:02I'm making contact with you.
12:03So we identified him as the suspect.
12:06So whoever called it in, they were right.
12:10That's why the door was shut in our face,
12:12because he was in there.
12:23So we got two subjects with warrants.
12:26This guy and the original suspect
12:28that we came to look for.
12:29So it's a good outcome.
12:31We got two people off the street that needed to go to jail,
12:33have active warrants.
12:34So one with serious felony warrants, false imprisonment,
12:37aggravated assault.
12:38So it worked out well.
12:41All righty.
12:42We'll see y'all.
12:43All right, bro.
12:44Take care.
12:45All right, Sarge.
12:46Oh, no.
12:47Check it in.
12:48This is good.
12:50Yeah, I got you.
12:55This guy just ran the shit out of this red light.
13:00Oh, my God.
13:02It sounds like an officer in a fight.
13:03So we got three units trying to get there.
13:05Come here.
13:06Give me your hand.
13:07Give me your hand.
13:26My name's Officer Tuitt.
13:27I work for the Beaverton Police Department.
13:29I want to get a motorcycle so bad, but my wife won't let me.
13:33They're outrageous.
13:35I had one, and now it's stupid.
13:38Sure, I'll do 130.
13:39Why not?
13:40I just don't hit anything in front of you, and you're good.
13:43I won't be able to go.
13:44Holy shit.
13:48There it is.
13:49Tones.
13:53Dispatch, can you just put me on a call?
13:56Dispatch, can you just put me on a warrant service?
13:59Can I get a couple officers to float towards Mill Creek?
14:02So this is somebody that we've had a number of contacts
14:07with over the last, I would say, 12 months, all of which
14:11are hostile, violent.
14:14He's had interactions with the public
14:17that result in violence.
14:19He broke somebody's windshield with a hammer.
14:22He is just a very, very angry person.
14:25And it turns out he now has a felony warrant actually
14:28for the, I believe, for the event with the hammer.
14:31So 315.96.
14:32Just let me know when you're there.
14:34We're good.
14:41He's outside right now talking to somebody in a car.
14:49Stop.
14:50You're under arrest.
14:51Don't run.
14:53Down.
14:58Stop.
15:00Stop.
15:01David.
15:04Turn around and put your hands on your head.
15:06Put your hands on top of your head.
15:07Get down on your knees.
15:09Get down on your knees.
15:11Do not move.
15:12If you do, you're going to get tased or possibly bit.
15:16Do not resist.
15:17Hey, don't fight.
15:18Go.
15:19All right.
15:23Hands.
15:28David, stop.
15:30Stop.
15:32Stop.
15:33Stop.
15:34You're just going to go to the jail.
15:37He's going to fight.
15:41There we go.
15:42Hold that one.
15:44Damn it.
15:45Damn it.
15:51All right, let's see.
15:56We're going to mine.
15:57David, face the car for me.
15:58OK.
16:02Dedicated to being bitch ass.
16:04I mean, you guys, all you talking pigs.
16:08The cops, you guys are bitch ass.
16:11Yeah.
16:16All right.
16:17Sit down.
16:25I thought if we had enough people here,
16:27he would just understand that it's not worth fighting.
16:30OK.
16:31All right.
16:35But he still did not want to go into custody.
16:39But no one got hurt, and so we're all good.
16:55It's a male dominated field, and there
16:59are times when people think that they can try us just
17:02because we're females.
17:03I mean, I'm 5 foot 2, and I'm small statured,
17:06but it's funny, when I first got hired into law enforcement
17:10with the sheriff's office, in my interview,
17:12I explained to them that I might be 5'2 and small,
17:15but I handled horses growing up, and if you
17:18can handle a 2,000 pound animal, you can handle a man.
17:22Biz Kistler don't take no shit from no man or woman.
17:32What's going on here?
17:37Did you?
17:43This guy just ran the shit out of this red light.
17:48274-1035.
17:50On the element.
17:55We're going in the PVA volatile.
18:03Hi there.
18:04I'm Officer Kistler.
18:05The reason I pulled you over is you
18:06ran the red light back there.
18:07Do you have your license?
18:08I did not run that red light.
18:09Yeah, you did.
18:10I was right behind you.
18:11But no, I don't got a license.
18:12You don't got a license.
18:13But I can tell you my name.
18:14I got a license.
18:15She does got a license.
18:16Why are you driving, then?
18:17Because this is a new car.
18:19It's in my brother's name.
18:21And yeah.
18:23Does she?
18:24OK.
18:25Just started running hot today, and I was standing there.
18:26All right.
18:27So, all right.
18:28But I'm going to drive it.
18:29I'm sorry.
18:30That doesn't make sense, but all right.
18:32I can tell you my name.
18:33What's your name, Shug?
18:34Justin.
18:35What's going on?
18:36You look a little heated.
18:37What's going on?
18:39Oh, we just got done walking on the beach.
18:41You just left the beach?
18:42OK.
18:43Would you be willing to submit some field sobriety testing?
18:45Yes, I am.
18:46All right.
18:47All right, can you step out for me?
18:48Yeah.
18:49Just step back to the front of my car here.
18:50I'm going to run your name and everything.
18:51All right.
18:52That's fine.
18:53Give me just a second, OK, big dog?
18:54Yes, ma'am.
19:00There was a lot going on in that car.
19:03And he's suspended.
19:05Imagine that.
19:06Why is he driving and not her?
19:08His speech and everything is kind
19:10of indicative of narthotic use.
19:12Also, he said, I did not run that red light.
19:15He blatantly ran that red light right in front of me.
19:22All right, Justin.
19:23Yes, ma'am.
19:24Can you do me a favor?
19:25I want you to put your left foot at the base of that line
19:28and then put your right foot directly in front of it
19:30so that your heel touches your toe.
19:32Keep your arms straight down by your sides.
19:34All right, Justin, you may begin.
19:37One, two, three.
19:40So you haven't had anything to drink tonight.
19:42Would you be willing to submit to a breath test?
19:44Yeah, let's do it.
19:45I'd much rather do that than do all this.
19:47Have you ever done one of these before?
19:49No, I ain't never, but.
19:50OK, what I want you to do is take a deep breath in.
19:52Wrap your lips completely around the straw
19:54and blow strong and hard until I tell you stop.
19:56Keep going harder.
19:57Keep going.
19:58Go, go, go, go.
19:59Go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go.
20:03There were minimal clues on fuel sobriety.
20:06I didn't see anything on HCN, so I
20:08knew alcohol wasn't a factor.
20:10I confirmed that with the PBT.
20:12I think most of it is nerves in his case.
20:16I think he made a poor choice and ran that red light
20:18right in front of the police.
20:20And he also made a poor choice of driving
20:22when his license is suspended, and he
20:24knew that it was suspended.
20:26But he's going to be getting him a ticket today.
20:35All right, dog.
20:36You got a citation today for the red light violation.
20:38OK.
20:39I was right behind you.
20:40You blew right through that red light.
20:42And for driving while license revoked.
20:44Your license is suspended.
20:45Here's the deal for tonight.
20:46She's licensed.
20:47Y'all ain't got far to go.
20:48Nope.
20:49So I wouldn't worry too much about the car overheating.
20:51No.
20:52She can make it to the hotel for you, all right?
20:55Any questions for me?
20:56No, ma'am.
20:57You was nice.
20:58You've been nice.
20:59I appreciate that.
21:00I try.
21:01As long as you're nice, I'm nice.
21:02That's the way it works.
21:03I'm always nice.
21:04I'm always nice.
21:05You guys be safe.
21:06Enjoy your time here.
21:1010-43 is trying to catch up to a CNR motorcycle.
21:13Two occupants on it.
21:15What's going on here?
21:16Is he messed up on drugs?
21:26My name is Nicholas Boyd.
21:28I'm a deputy with the Richmond County Sheriff's Office.
21:31The things that get me excited about this job
21:33is getting guns and getting drugs off the street.
21:36Because a lot of times, drug deals going bad
21:38leads to a lot of homicides in our area
21:41or gangs using the proceeds from drugs to purchase firearms.
21:45That's what we're trying to do.
21:46We're trying to make sure that people
21:48don't end up in jail.
21:49We're trying to make sure that people
21:51don't end up in jail.
21:52So you'll see a trickle-down effect
21:54if you remove those two elements.
21:56Ultimately, this is my community where I grew up,
21:59was born, and raised.
22:00And I definitely want to see it thrive.

22:30All right, don't shut your door, bro.
22:34OK.
22:37Don't call nobody, man.
22:38Leave.
22:39I understand that.
22:40I understand that.
22:42What's going on, man?
22:43Why you so nervous?
22:46I know, but why you so nervous, man?
22:50Yeah, yeah, you did run the stop sign.
22:52You did run the stop sign.
22:53Yeah, you ran it down.
22:55The windows don't roll down either.
22:58All right, hop out for me, man.
23:01You got your ID?
23:02Yes, sir.
23:04You got a violent driving license?
23:06Yes, sir.
23:07You don't?
23:10You ain't got no warrants for child support, do you?
23:13I don't know.
23:14Walk back there with my partner.
23:15OK.
23:16I'm going to use your computer, my NCIC, GCIC, anywhere.
23:20You ain't got to stand like that.
23:21Oh, is that how you stand at the grocery store?
23:23You know?
23:25You don't stand like this at the grocery store?
23:27No.
23:28I don't know if I got a child support warrant,
23:30but I'm trying to get my disability, so.
23:37Man, turn around and place your hand right there.
23:41Can I call my girlfriend so she can go get her coffee
23:43right over the speaker?
23:44Put your hands together like that so you don't have to do it.
23:46What's wrong, sir?
23:47You got four warrants, man.
23:49That's my son.
23:50My son is a Robert E. LeBron Williams, Jr. now.
23:52And he has a one for all.
23:54No, your picture popped up.
23:55That's you.
23:56That's you.
23:57OK.
23:58What it popped up for?
23:59Child support?
24:00Three child support and an order to show.
24:02You on probation?
24:03No.
24:06Child support?
24:07Yeah, you got three order to show calls.
24:09What's that in your pocket, man?
24:10What's that?
24:11A little weed.
24:12Some weed?
24:13Yep.
24:14You got any more in the car?
24:15Nope.
24:16Because I know I smelled it coming from the car.
24:18This is her car.
24:19I just picked her car up right there.
24:20My car right up the street.
24:21OK.
24:22You're responsible for everything that's in that car?
24:24I need to call them, let them know.
24:26You got anything in your shoes or anything?
24:28I just need to call and let them know, sir.
24:30OK.
24:31I'm not violent or anything.
24:33Can I let somebody know, please?
24:35Hold on one second, man.
24:36We're going to work with you.
24:37All right.
24:44Hey, it's hot in here now.
24:45All right.
24:47We're just me and deputy hostages
24:49just searching the vehicle to see
24:51if we can locate any drugs or firearms
24:56or anything of that nature.
24:58OK, got something.
25:03I mean, hell yeah.
25:07What that look like?
25:08That don't look like crack.
25:09That's coke.
25:10Coke.
25:11Luckily, I have 400 test kits.
25:13Hey, bro.
25:14Yes, sir.
25:15What's that in that dollar bill under the seat?
25:17I just went to pick that car up from her house.
25:19All right, don't worry about it.
25:20Possession of cocaine in the state of Georgia is a felony.
25:23So no matter the weight.
25:26If it gets heavier and there's signs
25:29that the person is selling it, there's other charges we can do.
25:33And if there's a total weight of more than 28 grams,
25:36I do traffic them.
25:38It's probably a girl here.
25:40Yes, sir.
25:45Come here.
25:46Hey, who get in the car?
25:47You is?
25:48Me.
25:49What's your first name?
25:50Latonya.
25:51Spell it.
25:52LA.
25:53Hey, babe, what happened?
25:54I got caught when I ran a stop sign.
25:57Damn.
25:58You ain't seen a stop sign?
26:00Yeah.
26:01And you ran anyway?
26:02No, I ain't run.
26:03I got stopped.
26:04Show stop, honey.
26:05That ain't funny.
26:07Well, y'all couldn't just give him a ticket
26:09for running a stop sign?
26:10Uh-uh.
26:11I had a what's it called?
26:12I thought you just get a ticket.
26:13I had a warrant.
26:14Well, damn, man.
26:15He had four warrants and cocaine.
26:17Damn.
26:18We got to do something.
26:19Yeah.
26:21Yeah, y'all got to get some money, too.
26:23I wish we got some money.
26:26Damn.
26:27Why you eat that?
26:30Why you eat it up?
26:33You can't eat that up.
26:36Toss it out the window.
26:37Well, y'all might see it.
26:38Toss it.
26:39I wouldn't.
26:40No.
26:41Then what do we do?
26:42Get him for littering?
26:43Oh, yeah.
26:44Toss it out the window.
26:46Damn.
26:47Damn, babe.
26:49I don't want him to eat the cocaine.
26:51I don't think that's good advice.
26:52And that would have got him an additional charge
26:54for trying to destroy evidence.
26:55So yeah, that wouldn't be smart.
26:58He's going to be going to jail tonight for possession
27:00of cocaine and his warrants.
27:02Can't get there.
27:08You trying, baby.
27:10Damn.
27:11I can't do it, ma'am.
27:13Push it up a little bit.
27:14I can't.
27:16Could you give me that money you got trying to give me?
27:18You trying to give her that $50?
27:19Yes, sir.
27:20So she can put it on the books for her or something?
27:22Yeah, you should have missed the stop sign.
27:24You should have stopped.
27:26Say, babe.
27:27Huh?
27:28You gave me the tip of driving your car home.
27:31Oh, lord.
27:32All right, then.
27:33Y'all have a good night.
27:34All right.
27:35You too, ma'am.
27:36All right, then.
27:37Uh-huh.
27:38All right.
27:39All right, sir.
27:40We're on the way.
28:01I'm Officer Bo Early.
28:03I've been a law enforcement officer for about five years
28:05now.
28:06I think there's something to helping
28:08those who can't help themselves and getting a bad guy.
28:12I mean, you play cops and robbers as a kid.
28:15I always wanted to be the cop.
28:16It's fun.
28:17Go out and drive your lights and sirens on
28:19and take the bad guy to jail.
28:20I mean, there's no better job in the world.
28:23There's no better job in the world.
28:40What's going on here?
28:41There was a call.
28:42He was rolling around the road apparently.
28:45Is he messed up on drugs?
28:49Really?
28:50That was my guess.
28:52Go drink alcohol and end up on the side of a highway
28:54rolling around on the grass with your shirt off.
29:04Wow.
29:05Let's get him.
29:09The gentleman on the side of the road,
29:11he was drunk and disorderly.
29:13And this motorcycle came past us at least 60 miles an hour
29:16in a 35 mile an hour zone.
29:1810-43 is trying to catch up to a CNR motorcycle on MLK.
29:23Two occupants on it.
29:393-14.
29:40I'll be going 10-35 with that right at the 23rd Street
29:44on-ramp, eastbound MLK.
29:47She doesn't even have a helmet on.
29:54Hey, Officer Early with Wilmington Police Department.
29:56Do you mind popping your helmet for me, boss?
29:58Having anything to drink tonight, have you?
30:00No, sir.
30:01OK.
30:02Do you have your license on you, boss?
30:03Not on me.
30:04I have a photo of it if you want it.
30:06Hang tight for me, OK?
30:08I'm surprised you caught this dude.
30:10Dude, me too.
30:12I estimated about 60 when they passed us.
30:14And then 30.
30:15And he got up to about 80.
30:16And he got up to about 80.
30:17Yeah.
30:18So fast.
30:19What's the deal, bro?
30:23What did you think would happen when
30:24you sped past blue lights?
30:28Is this your girlfriend?
30:29It's my girlfriend.
30:30It's my girlfriend.
30:31It's my girlfriend.
30:32It's my girlfriend.
30:33It's my girlfriend.
30:34It's my girlfriend.
30:35It's my girlfriend.
30:36It's my girlfriend.
30:37It's my wife.
30:38It's your wife?
30:39Why ain't you got a helmet for her?
30:45Come on, man.
30:47I'm not even trying to be vulgar or anything.
30:49But like, we don't want to scoop her dang brains
30:52off the side of the road, bro.
30:56Come on, dude.
30:57Yeah.
30:58Come on, man.
31:01Yeah.
31:02Like, dude, I get it.
31:05She's not.
31:06No.
31:07He's not.
31:08What the hell?
31:09He's wearing shorts, bro.
31:10Even 50 miles an hour, man, you fall off that bike,
31:12you could still pop your gripe right there, you know?
31:14Yeah.
31:15And I'm personally sick of picking up body parts.
31:20Yeah.
31:21My gosh.
31:28All right, man.
31:29Here's the deal.
31:30First of all, you're lucky to be alive right now.
31:31And you're lucky to be alive.
31:33I highly recommend not getting on a motorcycle again
31:35without a helmet.
31:36OK?
31:37Receiving a citation tonight for reckless driving,
31:40misdemeanor speeding, and a passenger without a helmet.
31:43Do you have any questions for me?
31:46All righty.
31:48Slow down.
31:49Be safe, all right?
31:50Be safe.
31:54I mean, I'm a two-time convicted felon, bro.
31:56So I mean, I think they should defund the police entirely.
32:01Oh, really?
32:02Yeah.
32:04You know, as time goes on, it pisses me off more and more.
32:10I mean, it's nonsense like that, that that's
32:13what gets people killed.
32:14And it's just not necessary.
32:23My name is Nick Vieira.
32:24I'm a sergeant with the Portland County Sheriff's Office.
32:27I've been with the Sheriff's Office for about 13 years now.
32:31We obviously hope for, you know, a peaceful weekend.
32:34A lot of times in this job, when you're busy,
32:36that doesn't mean good things.
32:37So we hope for peace.
32:40But of course, we know that things may be different.
32:46So we are headed to a lady's house who
32:51has an alligator in her yard.
32:54We get these calls a lot of times here in Florida.
32:56Gators are everywhere in Florida.
32:58Oh, big bump.
32:59And a rooster.
33:00Really?
33:01All right.
33:02That sounds great.
33:03Thank you, Palaka.
33:09You can see here just how high the water is.
33:12It's all the way up in through their carport.
33:15Is that him?
33:16Yeah, kind of.
33:17Yeah, he's pretty small.
33:18But I can't.
33:19I was just going to try to chase him out.
33:20But I can't get to him safely with the fence.
33:22So I figured the catch pole would be a little easier.
33:24You going to drag him out of the water?
33:25Yeah.
33:26All right, cool.
33:31OK.
33:33Oh!
33:34Oh, my god.
33:35Oh, that's bigger.
33:36Oh!
33:37Roxy, no.
33:38Roxy, come here.
33:39Oh, my god, get Roxy.
33:40Roxy's fine.
33:41Get up here.
33:42Roxy!
33:43There we go.
33:45Oh.
33:46There it is.
33:48That's got to hurt.
33:52OK, he's going to soak up.
33:56That's bigger than it looks.
33:58Yeah.
34:00Yeah, I just don't want to.
34:01Hey, sir, do me a favor.
34:02Yeah.
34:03Just come here and hold this for me.
34:04Yeah, watch this.
34:05I'll watch this.
34:10Got him?
34:11Hold his tail.
34:13Where's the tape?
34:14Tape.
34:15You got it?
34:19Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
34:20Absolutely.
34:24Perfect.
34:25That's good.
34:28Yeah, nothing hurt him at all.
34:30All right, sir.
34:31Two hands on his tail.
34:33He's going to try and kick.
34:34He's going to slip out.
34:35Yeah?
34:36Is he?
34:37Yeah, probably.
34:38He's got a key on you.
34:39I thought he was.
34:40I thought he was.
34:42Come on, we don't want to hurt you, man.
34:44There you go.
34:45Just like that.
34:49Whose car are we going in?
34:55You got him?
34:56Yep.
34:59This nigger's going to freak out when he smells him on that.
35:04Got him?
35:05All right, nice job.
35:06Thank you, sir.
35:07Thank you, sir.
35:08Absolutely.
35:09We're going to head to the river now and put him back home.
35:13And hopefully, he won't try and find another home
35:16in these people's yard.
35:17Thank you, guys, so much.
35:19I'll meet you over there.
35:43You good?
35:44Yes, sir.
35:49All right, tape is undone.
35:50Ready?
35:511, 2, and 3.
35:54There, little buddy.
35:55Grow big somewhere else.
36:25733 for police.
36:26637 out at Main and call me at Northwest.
36:32733 at Northwest.
36:33Send me 637's call, please.
36:3510-18.
36:43We're going to a person.
36:45It sounds like an officer in a fight.
36:47So we've got three units running lights and sirens,
36:50trying to get there to him.
36:55POLICE RADIO CHATTER
37:10Watch out.
37:11Watch out.
37:15I got you.
37:16Hold on.
37:17Watch out.
37:18Get in there.
37:21Get me your...
37:22You can take...
37:23Hey, hold this hand.
37:28Someone hold this.
37:28Hey, listen, slow it down.
37:31Slow it down.
37:32Hold his hand.
37:32Oh, man, man, dude.
37:34Get off the gun.
37:36I got it.
37:37Sarge, hold that.
37:39That's what he was trying to do before.
37:40Listen, listen, do you have any more weapons on you?
37:42I don't have no weapons.
37:43That went on me.
37:44Watch out.
37:45Roll over and check the other side.
37:46That went on me.
37:47You know you ain't getting that on me.
37:50Everyone good?
37:51Yeah, man.
37:52Good.
37:52Y'all good?
37:53No, but that's my weapon.
37:54Sarge McConnell, y'all good?
37:55I know y'all are wrong.
37:56Y'all ain't get that on me.
37:57He had a fanny pack on his body, and they took it off.
37:59That's all you were looking for?
38:01I had a fanny pack on me?
38:02No.
38:03I'm going to see what's in him now.
38:04Take him outside.
38:05I'm going to be clear.
38:06All right.
38:07Man, I ain't have my arm underneath wet.
38:09While I was conducting a traffic stop on the bicycle,
38:13during the traffic stop, he refused,
38:14and he kept riding away.
38:16Eventually, we ended up in this driveway,
38:18and he tried to walk inside.
38:20He kept going for his waistband, so I pulled out
38:22my taser, and I was able to get three rounds off.
38:26It was effective.
38:27I got him in his back and his calf.
38:30He went down, and then he held in my taser
38:32point until back of the rod.
38:34Come on, man.
38:37I ain't have nothing on me, man.
38:40Get in the car.
38:40Y'all seen it.
38:41Y'all got it on camera, right?
38:42Get in the car.
38:43I ain't have nothing on me.
38:44Lay down.
38:45Man, it's three feet turn.
38:47We heard an officer call out on a traffic stop.
38:49Person at that time was failing to stop.
38:51And then we heard him stressfully go over the radio,
38:54saying, taser deployed.
38:55So instantly, we started running license sirens to get here.
38:59As we got here on scene, there was a few officers involved
39:02in a fight with the suspect.
39:03So I jumped in, helped to get him detained.
39:07And then as we were still actively fighting him,
39:09he kept on trying to reach his waistband and get a gun.
39:11And so one of us was holding on that
39:13while the other ones were getting
39:14them secured and handcuffed and just trying to de-escalate
39:16everything from there.
39:18So there was a magazine almost, I think, almost full in there.
39:21But yeah, there was nothing in the chamber
39:22because I dropped the magazine, racked it.
39:24Nothing came out.
39:25OK.
39:26Perfect.
39:30He's going to jail, yes.
39:31I did hear that he's a convicted villain,
39:32so he's not supposed to be having a firearm at all.
39:34So he's at least going to jail on some felony charges tonight.
