00:00FPL Game Week 28, my team selection.
00:03In today's video, we're going to have a look at how my team is lining up.
00:06I have three free transfers, but we are really planning for Game Week 29.
00:11The big blank that we have on the horizon.
00:13And we have a bit more chip strategy in this video as well.
00:16We'll talk about Game Week 28 and we'll also have a look at what I plan on doing
00:19to get Erling Haaland back into my team next week.
00:22What is up everyone?
00:30FPL Harry here.
00:30Before we dive in, 2,000 likes is the aim.
00:32Subscribe if you are new around here as well.
00:35And a little throwback to Game Week 27, which does feel like a long time ago now.
00:40Just before we do that, actually, I've had a couple of questions or comments
00:43on a video this week that my audio has been a bit quiet recently.
00:47I've tried it on my phone and on my computer and it sounds fine,
00:50but there have been enough people mentioning it that maybe it is something that's off.
00:54I've tried upping it in this video.
00:55If you could just let me know that if it sounds fine, if it's loud enough or whatever.
00:59Hopefully, all is sorted for you.
01:02Going back to Game Week 27.
01:04It was a bit of a rollercoaster week.
01:06Of course, we put the cabinet seat on Cole Palmer.
01:08He didn't do anything.
01:09He should have done something.
01:11Salah only came in with an assist.
01:12So generally, there wasn't very much between them.
01:15I'm quite happy with the decision in hindsight to go with Palmer.
01:18I guess he scored less than Mo Salah, but he definitely had more chances in his game
01:22to get returns than Mo Salah did in his,
01:24but he is obviously quite low on confidence at the moment.
01:28Munoz Gabriel Trent was my starting defence and we got Mikhalenko's six-pointer
01:32off the bench for Alexander Isak, who of course was out
01:35and is still a doubt going into Game Week 28 as well now, having played in the Cup,
01:40but also maybe getting a little bit more injured in that game as well.
01:43I ended on 59 points.
01:45I didn't do the Watkins move to anyone.
01:46So quite happy with him coming in with a five.
01:48Kluivert, who came in with a 10-pointer.
01:50So 59 was literally exactly on my safety score.
01:55It meant I got the smallest green arrow I think I've ever had playing this game.
01:59I went from 11,641 to 11,600 on the dot.
02:04I moved 41 places.
02:06I think the smallest green arrow I have ever had, but I will absolutely take it.
02:11When Palmer blanked and then we saw no Isak in the squad,
02:15if you'd have told me I would have ended on this tiny green arrow,
02:18I would have bitten your hand off.
02:19I would have absolutely taken it.
02:20So to be here, looking back in hindsight,
02:23it could have been a much, much worse game week.
02:25So we will take this and we will run.
02:28So yesterday we did a big chip strategy video.
02:31Lots of strategy stuff in there.
02:32What's going to happen going forward?
02:34But I do want to talk a little bit about my strategy,
02:36because some of the transfers I might make over the next couple of weeks
02:40might be a little bit different to you
02:42because of when I plan to play my wild card,
02:44because I've still got the assistant manager left.
02:47Now, the majority of you will be going with strategy one or two in here.
02:50This was strategy two or three in the chip strategy video yesterday,
02:55which will be a wild card 31.
02:57And I may well end up there,
02:59but because I've got the assistant manager,
03:00there is an opportunity to play it between 30 and 33.
03:04So I could either play it 30 to 32, which you can see in strategy five
03:08and 31 to 33, which you can see in strategies three and four.
03:12Now, I don't need to decide on any of that really until we get after the FA Cup,
03:17but it might slightly change the players that I'm looking to buy
03:20because looking at strategies three, four and five,
03:22I don't have the luxury of playing my wild card
03:25before the upcoming predicted doubles.
03:27I wouldn't wild card until at least game week 34,
03:30if not game week 35 at the very earliest.
03:33So some of my transfers will have a bit of a longer term view
03:37when I'm looking to buy players.
03:38So for example, Everton have a great fixture this week and next week,
03:42but from game week 30, it gets really bad.
03:44Beto for someone like you watching might be a good buy.
03:47Someone like Aeon Burmo might be a good buy for the next few weeks.
03:50But slightly longer term,
03:52I might be having a look at potentially buying more Bournemouth.
03:55I might be having a look at how I can get to Erling Haaland
03:58because he is quite important potentially for the long term.
04:01I might be having a look at someone like an Elanga
04:03because of their longer term fixtures as well.
04:05So just when we go to have a look at some of the upcoming transfer plans,
04:09why I'm potentially rolling my transfers,
04:11why I'm looking for a lot of information.
04:13It's just because there is a possibility
04:16that I don't wild card until later
04:18and I just need to make sure I'm buying the players
04:20who are the best for the long term
04:22rather than just for game week 28, 29 and 30,
04:24which is what the majority of you are going to do
04:27with that wild card 31 being the most popular strategy
04:30for the remainder of the season.
04:31Now, it's not impossible that I just go to a wild card 31 strategy.
04:35If wild card 31, bench boost 32, free hit 33
04:39or wild card and then bench boost 33, free hit 34,
04:42depending on how the FA Cup goes.
04:44If they look really strong and loads of people are doing it
04:47and I don't think my strategy is better than that,
04:50I might just go with strategy 1
04:51or I might just go with strategy 2
04:53and just save the assistant manager
04:55for the final three weeks of the season
04:57and try and either get table bonus if I feel like I need it.
05:00If not, if I'm in a good position with my rank,
05:02I could just play it on someone
05:04I don't know the fixes off the top of my head,
05:06but I could just stick on Pep Guardiola, right,
05:08for the final three weeks of the season
05:10and just take 30 points from it and be happy with that.
05:13So it's not impossible that I just go wild card 31
05:16like everyone else is going to do,
05:17but those of us with assistant manager
05:19might just need to be a little bit more cautious
05:21with trying to look a little bit more long term
05:23with the players we're buying
05:24rather than just game week 28, 29, 30,
05:27which, as I said, is what most of you will be doing.
05:31So with that in mind,
05:31we're actually going to dive straight in
05:33and have a look at my lineup now.
05:34So in goal, we're going with Jordan Pickford
05:36and with Mateus Kunja being out for Wolves,
05:38this suddenly looks like a better fixture for Everton
05:41than maybe it did before the FA Cup at the weekend.
05:44Of course, Everton will have had quite a nice rest
05:46since they played last in game week 27,
05:48whereas Wolves have played an additional fixture
05:50where they did lose to Bournemouth in the FA Cup.
05:53Fabianski not in goal for West Ham,
05:55so no real debate,
05:56no real reason to discuss the goalkeepers
05:58in any more detail than I need to.
06:00Into defence, I'm pretty happy with it.
06:02We've got Munoz, we've got Gabriel
06:04and we've got Trent Alexander-Arnold.
06:06We do have Mikalenko on the bench,
06:08sort of second sub, but first up
06:09because we have Ahmad still in this lineup.
06:12Now away to Wolves for Mikalenko,
06:14again, without Kunja,
06:15it's quite a decent fixture
06:17and we saw in game week 27,
06:19he's attacking through it
06:20and what he's able to do going forward.
06:22Disclaimer, it was his first opter assist
06:25that he's ever had for Everton.
06:26He's had sort of FPL assists,
06:27like rebounded of shots,
06:28but in theory ones that the Premier League
06:30actually record as assists.
06:32That is the first one for Everton
06:34he's ever had,
06:34so his attacking threat isn't really there.
06:37Anyway, Munoz is in,
06:38Ipswich at home is a great fixture,
06:40very happy with that.
06:41Gabriel in away at United,
06:42the clean sheet odds are actually better
06:44for this than I thought.
06:45I think they've got about
06:45just under a 30% chance of a clean sheet,
06:48so let's keep an eye on that.
06:49I'm pretty happy with that
06:50and then of course Trent at home,
06:51Southampton without Conor Bradley there.
06:55Hopefully he starts.
06:56I'm recording before PSG Liverpool
06:58on Wednesday evening.
06:59Fully expect Trent to start that game.
07:01Hopefully he gets that early 60, 70th minute sub
07:04and hopefully he starts against Southampton.
07:05If he does miss out,
07:06I've got Mikalenko first on the bench to sub in,
07:09but I'm not expecting Trent to play
07:10zero minutes against Southampton.
07:13Into the midfield,
07:14we've got Cole Palmer and Mo Salah.
07:16It's great to have them both.
07:18It is a little bit of a captaincy debate.
07:20Let's see how Salah gets on tonight,
07:22but unless he gets injured,
07:23I'm almost certain Salah
07:24will get the county armband.
07:26We'll talk about that in just a moment.
07:27Brian and Bermo and Kluivert are in there as well.
07:30Villa don't tend to travel well,
07:32particularly after a way Champions League game.
07:34So I do have Watkins in my forward line,
07:36but I'm hopeful that Brian and Bermo
07:38can get something at home in this game.
07:39And also Spurs,
07:40they play in the Europa Conference League on,
07:43sorry, the Europa League as a Chelsea fan.
07:45I just default to Conference League
07:47in the Europa League on Thursday
07:49in what is just their biggest game
07:50they have left this season.
07:52Of course, if they get through,
07:53that will then be their biggest game then,
07:54but they are so much more focused on Europe
07:56than they are on the Premier League at the moment.
07:58So Bournemouth, again,
08:00not playing any fixtures midweek.
08:01I do think there's an ability for Bournemouth
08:03to go and beat Spurs in this fixture.
08:05So happy with Kluivert.
08:07We are expecting to see a return
08:08for Solanke, van der Ven and Romero
08:10over the next couple of games.
08:12But again, Europa League is so much more important
08:14for Spurs than Premier League is.
08:15So I'm not certain that they'll start
08:17against Bournemouth in game week 28.
08:19Fingers crossed that they don't as a Kluivert owner.
08:21Then it's going to be Ahmad on the bench.
08:23And I don't really feel a need to sell him this week.
08:27The replacement for me,
08:28I do think is going to be Semenya
08:30or it might be Minte.
08:31Neither of those are going to get into my starting 11
08:34because up front,
08:35we've got Watkins away at Brentford,
08:36who's going nowhere for this week,
08:38despite him not being on penalties anymore
08:40because it looks like Asensio is going to be.
08:42Then it is Alexander-Isaac
08:43who is a little bit of a doubt
08:45and then it is Chris Wood.
08:46So of course, Chris Wood and Watkins are going nowhere.
08:48Watkins to Haaland is my plan in game week 29.
08:50So it just leaves Alexander-Isaac.
08:53Now, he is a little bit of a doubt.
08:54We're not going to know going into the deadline
08:57who it's going to be,
08:58if he's going to be available,
08:59if it's going to be Isaac up front
09:01or if it's going to be Wilson
09:02because not only does Eddie Howe not tell us anything,
09:04they also don't play until Monday night.
09:06So he's just not going to tell us.
09:08I could, if we get confirmation
09:10that Isaac was going to be out,
09:12I could sell him.
09:13The issue is, is the replacement
09:14I've always had in my mind for Isaac
09:16would be Kounia
09:18and I'm not going to do that
09:19and how that Kounia is suspended.
09:20So what I could do is do Ahmad
09:23to Semenya.
09:24I've got exact money in the bank
09:25to do Ahmad to Semenya
09:27but I'm not really sure it's worth forcing it
09:29because I'm not 100% certain
09:31that Semenya is the player
09:32that I'll have in my team for game week 29.
09:35I would say it's 75% likely
09:37that Ahmad to Semenya
09:38is a transfer I do next week
09:40but it's not guaranteed.
09:41It's not confirmed
09:42and when I've got a first sub
09:44like Mikalenko after Ahmad
09:46that looks absolutely fine for game week 28
09:48if he had to play away at Wolves
09:50and I do think Isaac will get minutes
09:52unless we hear something completely negative.
09:54So I just think I'm going to roll with it
09:56and roll my transfer to get four next week.
09:59Find the best plan for me
10:01to get Erling Haaland in in game week 29
10:03in place of Ollie Watkins.
10:05Probably sell Ahmad to the midfielder that I like
10:07because it might turn out
10:08that I decide to do a strategy
10:10where I keep Trent for example
10:11and then in which case Ahmad
10:13I might not be able to afford Semenya.
10:14I might need to go down to someone like a Wanyeri
10:17or Jal Gomez of Wolves
10:19or something like that.
10:20So it's not guaranteed that I go to Semenya.
10:23If it was I probably would just do Ahmad to Semenya
10:26and leave Semenya on the bench
10:27and if Isaac is a major doubt
10:29Ahmad to Semenya,
10:30benching Semenya first sub
10:33ready to sub in for Isaac
10:34is what's most likely for me to do
10:36but at the moment
10:37I just think there is a very decent chance
10:39that we see Isaac gets minutes
10:40and we'll have to see how it evolves
10:42over the next couple of days
10:43and with the press conference on Friday.
10:45In the final decisions video
10:47we will talk a little bit more
10:48about what I'm going to do
10:49but at the moment I will roll
10:51unless it's very negative on Isaac
10:53in which case I will likely do Ahmad to Semenya.
10:55We spoke briefly about captaincy.
10:57Salah has the armed man at the moment.
10:59Palmer has the vice captain.
11:00Palmer's lack of confidence
11:02is a little bit of a put off
11:03and we do expect him to start
11:05in the Europa Conference League
11:07on Thursday evening
11:08given that Chelsea now have
11:09slightly more difficult tie
11:11against Copenhagen
11:12in that round of the tournament
11:14which is probably their most difficult fixture left
11:16unless they reach the final.
11:17So I do think Salah will play
11:20of course against PSG
11:20but Palmer will also play on Thursday night.
11:23I do think Salah will start
11:24against Southampton.
11:25He's very driven to reach these records.
11:28We've heard Arnie Slott say
11:29the Premier League is so important.
11:30He might not play 90.
11:31He might only play 70
11:33but they're both great fixtures.
11:35I think Salah will just be
11:36the most highly captained.
11:37It doesn't feel like a week with my team
11:39that I should really take a risk.
11:42There's nothing really
11:43apart from maybe Bowen
11:45and maybe Visser
11:46that there's really big threats
11:48to my rank this week.
11:49Those are probably the top two
11:50unless I'm missing someone really obvious.
11:52They were Kunja
11:53and they were Mateta in the forward line
11:55and of course they're unlikely to play.
11:57Kunja definitely won't.
11:58Mateta might.
12:00So plan is just a royal transfer.
12:01I can't see myself not captaining Salah
12:03unless something crazy happens
12:04in the Champions League
12:05in which case or Arnie Slott
12:07says something like Salah needs a rest
12:09before the second leg
12:10in which case I might consider Palmer
12:11but at the moment Salah's just got it.
12:14So we've had a lot of questions
12:16over the past couple of videos
12:18about my plan for Haaland
12:19in game week 29.
12:21So this is now looking at game week 29.
12:23I've got three free transfers.
12:24Next week if I roll I will have four.
12:26So I do plan on using
12:28probably all four of my transfers
12:30and one of them will be Watkins to Haaland.
12:32Having Watkins in my team
12:33has actually been quite useful
12:35because it's basically
12:36booked in an Erling Haaland spot
12:37because I'm not going to sell him to Kunja now
12:39because he's suspended.
12:40There's basically no other forwards I like.
12:42I could go Evan Nilsson.
12:43I could go Visser.
12:44I could go Marmouche
12:45but when I've got Watkins
12:46it just makes sense to try and get
12:48money to get to Haaland
12:50because it's much easier
12:51for me to do it than maybe a few other people.
12:53So just to run through
12:54a couple of opportunities
12:56and potential strategies
12:57of what it might look like.
12:59The first one is going to look like this
13:00and Palmer is almost certain
13:02that he will be the one that goes.
13:03I could sell Salah
13:05but if I sell Salah
13:06I'm very much committing to
13:08a game week 31 wildcard
13:09which in the chip strategy videos
13:11part of the video I said
13:12I'm not certain of.
13:13So that would be
13:14Palmer to Semenyo.
13:15Ahmad down slightly to Minte
13:18and Trent to Gavardiale.
13:19That would give me the money
13:20to do Watkins up to Haaland.
13:22Minte could be someone else.
13:23It doesn't leave me very much
13:25in the bank though.
13:26I think I might be able to
13:27just stretch to Anthony Alanga.
13:29I could look at Nwanyeri in there as well
13:31but generally Minte
13:33is probably the one I would go to
13:35and he looks very nailed for Brighton.
13:37Again, Gavardiale.
13:37I could go to someone cheaper
13:39but this is an option
13:40that I go to him for Brighton at home.
13:41Leicester at home.
13:42Potential double in game week 33 as well.
13:45There is a slight different version of that
13:47where I do downgrade Trent
13:49to someone cheaper.
13:50Probably going with Ryan Aitnouri.
13:52That would allow me to do Ahmad up to Bowen.
13:54So the previous version does leave me
13:56a little bit in the bank.
13:57I can't get up to Gibbs-White
13:58on the previous version
13:59but I could get to someone
14:01slightly more expensive than a Minte.
14:03I can't get to Mutoima either
14:04but Ahmad up to Bowen is possible
14:06if I do Trent down to Aitnouri
14:08and I'm just not certain
14:09that Gavardiale is really worth the money.
14:11His attacking threat is good.
14:12Five goals so far this season.
14:14Brighton at home.
14:14I just don't think that's straightforward.
14:16Leicester at home is good.
14:17So I think it's more likely
14:19that I try and force in someone
14:20like a Jared Byrne
14:21and just go for Aitnouri.
14:22Now there is another opportunity
14:24where I don't sell Cole Palmer
14:27and this was presented to me
14:29from someone in my comments video
14:30on a video earlier this week.
14:32So thank you very much.
14:32I can't remember your name
14:34but I appreciate you leaving the comment
14:35because I do think it's interesting.
14:36I have exact money
14:38to do Watkins to Haaland
14:40Mbamo to Alanga
14:41Ahmad to Minte
14:43and Trent to Aitnouri.
14:44This would give me a Salah
14:47Palmer Haaland draft
14:49for game week 29
14:51and game week 30 and onwards.
14:53My only issue is
14:54is I plan on playing my assistant manager.
14:56Doesn't make life very easy.
14:58I'm also losing Trent
15:00and I am losing Mbamo.
15:01Now the fixtures from Mbamo
15:02are not that great.
15:03The fixtures for Trent are pretty good.
15:05I would like to keep Trent
15:06if I possibly can
15:07but I do think it's unlikely.
15:09It's where most of my money
15:10is likely to come out from.
15:12So this is something I'm considering.
15:14I would say it's unlikely.
15:15I would say it's unlikely
15:16I go for a strategy like this.
15:17I think the option two
15:18with Semenya, Bowen and Aitnouri
15:20is most likely.
15:21Don't think Gavadiol
15:22is massively worth the money.
15:24So Bowen and Aitnouri
15:25I prefer over Minte, Gavadiol probably
15:28especially because they play against each other
15:29in game week 30, right?
15:30So it doesn't make that much sense
15:32for me to do that.
15:33So I would say most likely
15:34is probably the Bowen, Aitnouri route.
15:37I could go with the
15:39keep Palmer, Haaland, Salah route.
15:41It just does make the assistant manager
15:43a little bit more difficult.
15:44But Watkins to Haaland
15:47feels very likely for me in game week 29.
15:49It's just exactly where I go
15:50to free up the money.
15:51But we don't need to discuss
15:53and well, we do need to discuss.
15:54We don't need to decide on that
15:56until we get to game week 29
15:57after the deadline this weekend.
15:59So we'll leave that future
16:00planning section there.
16:02Plan is to roll the transfer
16:04unless there's really, really bad news
16:05on Alexander Isak
16:06which I don't really expect
16:07because the last thing we heard
16:08from Eddie Howe
16:09was just that he had
16:10a little bit of fatigue.
16:11So hopefully it's a roll.
16:13Bench, Ahmad, Mikalenko
16:14sort of first sub
16:15if anything was to happen to Trent
16:17not playing or for example
16:18in Isak missing out altogether.
16:20I don't expect those things to happen
16:22but let's see what happens
16:23in the press conferences on Friday
16:25and we'll update you all
16:26in final decisions on Friday afternoon.
16:29Any questions you have about my plans,
16:31your plans, anything,
16:32it's good to get back.
16:33Like the chip strategy stuff
16:34is really interesting
16:35and I really enjoy it
16:35but I also appreciate
16:37there's a lot of depth
16:38and a lot of detail
16:38just to say don't do anything
16:40until game week 30.
16:41So it's nice to get back
16:42to like initial proper
16:44FPL decisions for the weekend ahead.
16:46That is my team selection.
16:47It is another week
16:48where I plan on rolling my transfer.
