00:00Well, the President did just put out a statement on his call with the Governor, Justin Trudeau,
00:05as he calls him, of Canada.
00:07And he said that he was not pleased, as you said.
00:11He said it's not good enough.
00:12He told Prime Minister Justin Trudeau that directly.
00:16The call ended in a somewhat friendly manner, as the President said, but he's not going
00:21to stop standing up for the American people.
00:23And to answer your question directly when it comes to fentanyl, for the last four years,
00:27unfortunately, our neighbors to the north and the south, Canada and Mexico, respectively,
00:32have allowed America to be a dumping ground, not just for illegal aliens, but for illegal,
00:37poisonous, deadly fentanyl, which is now the number one killer of young people in this
00:42country aged 18 to 34.
00:45Through the northern border in Canada, in last fiscal year alone, there was enough fentanyl
00:51seized to kill 4.8 billion people.
00:55And that number is up 2,050 percent from 2023, the year before.
01:01So there's been more than a 2,000 percent increase in illegal fentanyl seizure at the
01:06northern border.
01:07Why?
01:08Because Canada is allowing that fentanyl to come to the United States.
01:10The President sees these numbers.
01:12He thinks about the lives that are lost.
01:14And everybody in this room, I'm sure everybody watching at home, everybody across the country
01:18knows someone in our lives who has been killed at the hands of this deadly poison.
01:22There needs to be repercussions for that.
01:24The President feels very strongly about it.
