00:00Hi, this is Sandeep Adhar and I want to wish every, every woman out there, Happy Women's Day.
00:11I mean there are people who, they have conversations with themselves, they will send me, Hi, I miss you.
00:20Then they will say, you didn't reply to my message but I will still keep missing you.
00:25Then they will reply, what did you do today? I did this, this, this, this.
00:30Then they will say next day, the conversation is happening just with themselves, I am not getting any reply.
00:37I think it's hilarious the fact that they can continue to keep sending me messages without any reply.
00:42I feel like that kind of love is amazing.
00:45I feel like, very easy, I feel like I am not a very social media person.
00:55I would prefer not having social media. I would prefer being a very private person.
01:00I am a private person. I do not put so much of my private life also.
01:03If you open my Instagram, you will not see too much of my private life.
01:06It's not something that I like to share.
01:09So I would be very happy not posting.
01:12Then constantly keeping up with comments and all of that.
01:24I don't think my personality type is correct for reality show. I feel like I am very boring for reality show.
01:30I feel like you need to be very entertaining for reality show.
01:34I don't enjoy fighting with anyone.
01:39And I won't even initiate.
01:41So if I go to Bigg Boss, I will be the worst contestant because people are not going to find anything entertaining with my kind of a personality.
01:50I like peace, quiet. I like to spend time alone.
01:54I mean the opportunities that Nebu kids get are definitely better than outsiders.
02:00I feel like outsiders really have to struggle in order to get the opportunities that the industry kids are getting.
02:08But you can't blame the industry kids for being born in the family that they are born in, right?
02:14Like it's not their fault or anything.
02:18Ultimately it's about your talent.
02:21Ultimately it's about your talent.
02:23Ultimately if you are not talented, you can be somebody's kid and still not be liked by the audience.
02:31So if you really look at it right now, who are the top actors and actresses?
02:35They are mostly outsiders only.
02:37So ultimately that tells you that ultimately it's the talent that counts.
02:41It's not really your connections.
02:43Connections will get you your opportunities but will not guarantee success.
02:48So for success you need talent.
02:50So if you are talented then it doesn't matter whether you are somebody's kid or not somebody's kid.
02:55You will get your due.
03:01Women's day ka plan yeh hai ki that I am going to spend it with all the women in my life.
03:08I have a very set of strong women in my life.
03:12From my friends, girlfriends to my mother and my maasis.
03:18I have a huge set of very strong women in my life who are great examples and role models in my life.
03:26And I like to spend it with them.
03:28What women's day means to me is it's a day to kind of give credit to a woman who doesn't get credit 99% of the times in life.
03:42I feel like women are the most underpaid or let's just say non-paid employee in this universe.
03:48Because she plays the role of a mother.
03:51She doesn't get paid for that.
03:52It's the most difficult job any human can kind of do.
04:00She doesn't get paid for that.
04:01She in fact gets ulta, you know, she gets sunaoud for things in life.
04:08So, I feel like it's a very American concept to be honest.
04:14I feel like every day should be a women's day because she is the creator.
04:19She gives life.
04:21There is nothing above women in that way.
04:25You can't even compare any other being to a woman in that sense.
04:31The fact that she has the ability to give life.
04:38I think now we have, it's come a long way for sure.
04:43I feel now you have a lot of content whether films or whether series that are female led.
04:49Strong stories, strong characters that are being shown.
04:53Also the way women are portrayed are also slightly different now which is nice.
04:57I feel like even Pyaar Ka Professor in the way we have shown Malika as the female protagonist is also very different.
05:05It's not your regular Sati Savitri kind of a, you know, earlier it was a heroine was either Sati Savitri or she was the vamp.
05:13There were two of them.
05:14There were no real characters because in reality we are all flawed.
05:19We all make mistakes.
05:21Mistakes are made by everyone.
05:23And then you learn from your mistakes.
05:25You can be everything.
05:26You can be a strong, sophisticated, confident woman and yet be vulnerable and yet be flawed.
05:32And I'm glad that now we finally are accepting characters like that.
05:37The fact that Malika is accepted just goes to show that the society has also progressed.
05:43And we can now do much more than what we've already done.
05:53You can't really overcome gender bias.
05:54It exists.
05:56It's there.
05:57It's always about the hero.
05:59And that's how, it's that kind of a society which is governed by the man.
06:08Equality doesn't exist.
06:10We are trying to get equality but it doesn't exist yet.
06:13And it's a battle that you fight every day.
06:17It's some kind of a fight.
06:19It's a long fight.
06:20We'll get to it eventually.
06:29I wish more opportunities are given to outsiders.
06:32Bigger opportunities are given to outsiders.
06:34Because let's be honest.
06:36You do not give big opportunities to outsiders.
06:39They have to really struggle, struggle, prove themselves and then you give them a big opportunity.
06:44Correct?
06:45So I feel like I wish bigger opportunities are given to outsiders.
06:55Well, I support a lot of NGOs.
06:56I'm big on Girl Child.
07:00Cry is an NGO that I closely work with.
07:04And support them.
07:05I've been doing that for a few years now.
07:08And education of Girl Child is something that's very, very close to me.
07:13I feel like the society will change only when our women change.
07:17They will be educated.
07:18It's at a grassroot level.
07:20No change can come if education of women does not happen.
07:25But sitting at home with girls is a solution.
07:30You're not changing the mentality of boys.
07:33But you're making girls sit at home as a solution.
07:35Is that the solution?
07:36No, not at all.
07:38I mean, this is ridiculous.
07:40I mean, you have to educate people at a grassroot level.
07:45Start at your own home.
07:47When I was young, I was taught how to cook, how to make tea, how to interact with guests.
07:53My mom taught me all that.
07:55She didn't teach my brother.
07:57He didn't let him enter the kitchen.
07:59Why?
08:00I feel like in modern families, mine is a really modern family.
08:04He was not taught.
08:05And I've questioned this now that I'm grown up.
08:09I've asked my mother, why did you not teach him?
08:13Because only if he would have learned, he would have realized it in his real life.
08:17And relationships will be better.
08:19Because according to him, all of this is a girl's job.
08:23Taking care of the house is a girl's job.
08:25Bringing up children is a girl's job.
08:27It's not.
08:28Both have to do it equally.
08:31So, I feel like the mothers have to be taught.
08:34If the mothers are taught, then everything will change.
08:38And what we do is, we don't look for solutions.
08:42We do prevention.
08:44If a girl is raped, make her sit at home.
08:47Don't change the boys.
08:49Don't make any changes on them.
08:50Don't make any changes.
08:52Who is causing the problems?
08:53It's the boys.
08:55But we are not going to the root cause.
08:57We are saying that we will make the girls sit at home.
08:59Because it's a girl's problem.
09:08Nice question.
09:14A female.
09:21I feel like Indira Gandhi was a very interesting, strong woman to portray.
09:27And I feel like Kangana has done a fantastic job with it.
09:31Now I can't touch it.
09:32Because she has done such a great job with it.
09:36But yeah, I feel like Indira Gandhi was such a fantastic character to play.
09:40It would have been very interesting.
09:42What are your plans for the future?
09:47There are two films, which are theatrical releases this year.
09:50And I am very excited.
09:54And I have a film that we always spoke about.
09:57I have a film with Laxman Delkha Sir.
09:59And I have another film that I don't want to talk about.
10:01I can't talk about.
10:02I will be in trouble.
10:04And yeah, I am excited for 2025.
10:07Because the beginning is good.
10:11I am happy that I have started it with Pyaar Ka Professor.
10:15And the response has been very good.
10:18And people liked my work.
10:20And I was very nervous about how I would receive Malika's character.
10:24And I am glad that people are liking it.
10:27And people are asking for a second season.
10:30And yeah, I hope this good luck stays with me.
10:34And I hope the rest of the projects also turn out nice.
10:40You
