00:00I've taught dance, maybe that's the most professor type thing that I've kind of done,
00:13but I think giving gyan is not something which is very natural for me, I feel like listening
00:21to gyan is a better, I'm more of a listener than a talker, so yeah, that's been my thing.
00:30When I was studying in Xavier's, we had a subject called radio and television and we
00:41had this RJ who was a professor who would come visiting faculty and I had a huge crush
00:49on him because he had an amazing voice, I think there's something about women falling
00:53for men who have lovely voices, he had this nice bassy voice and he was very good as a
00:58teacher and I had a huge crush on him, I would just make sure I would sit in the first
01:02bent for his lecture, I used to usually sit in the last bent, but for his lecture I used
01:08to make sure that I was sitting in the first bent.
01:15I think everything with her is something that I have gone through at some point, it's very
01:20relatable, you'll speak to most women and they'll tell you the same thing, that the
01:24insecurity that she goes through, the confusion that she goes through is something that we've
01:29all been, you know, we've all experienced at some point in our lives, the kind of relationship
01:37that she has with her husband, it's a great relationship, it's like they're friends,
01:43but yet they don't talk about a lot of things, they don't discuss a lot of things and I feel
01:47like a lot of marriages are like that, they don't really discuss a lot of things that
01:51they should be talking about, everyone talks from the top, they don't talk about deeper
01:58things, so there's a lot of relatability with Malika, I feel like that's why maybe it was
02:03easier to play her and I feel like maybe I was able to bring out a little bit more human
02:09aspect of her character on screen and that's why a lot of women have related to it.
02:22I mean it is awkward to shoot them, especially because you know there are like 100 people
02:29in a room and you're doing all of this, it's like choreography right, so it's weird because
02:38it's not, you're not doing it with your boyfriend and whatever, it's pretty much a stranger
02:44in a way, so it is awkward, but I feel like now it's being handled in a very professional
02:52manner, it's also done very aesthetically, so you don't really feel cheap as a woman
03:00or anything of that sort because everybody is very mindful, because everything is discussed.
03:06Nowadays there are intimate coaches and all.
03:08Exactly, all of that and also everything is discussed, what are you comfortable with,
03:12what are you not comfortable with, everything is discussed in a proper way and we shoot
03:18accordingly, so in this in fact we were very clear about that we don't want anything to
03:23look cheap, vulgar, we were not doing any of these scenes because we want clickbait,
03:29we want audience, it's none of those, if you really notice, all of those scenes come for
03:34a very particular reason in the story and none of this was to you know titillate people
03:41or anything of that sort because this is not that kind of a story, it's not a titillating
03:46kind of a character or a story.
03:54Nimrat, she is very wise, she gives you good advice, she is very mature and a lovely human
04:02being, I can chat with her about anything and she is one of those actors you can like
04:10just chill with, she doesn't give you gyaan, she will chill with you like a friend and
04:17the entire bunch is, like Kunal again, Kunal is also, he has so much wisdom and in a comic
04:26way, he will give you the biggest gyaan in the world but in a joking manner and then
04:32you will sit and decipher, oh he is so smart yaar, because he said some of the most you
04:38know heavy things in the most lighter manner and then I think Sunny also has his own, like
04:46he is a lovely human being and such a well mannered person, brilliant actor, his timing,
04:55comic timing, everything is brilliant, what a pleasure it's been working with all three of them.
05:02Which film do you like the most out of the two?
05:06I like both the films a lot, both the directors are very different, Laxman sir is more relatable,
05:14the kind of stories he makes, Luka Chuppi or Mimi, they are very human stories, whereas
05:21Bansali sir is more about grandeur, his visual aesthetics are amazing, the way he presents
05:28his heroines is very beautiful, so both have very different sensibilities, you can't compare
05:35them, they are brilliant in their own spaces.
05:42I had a great time shooting with Salman and Arbaaz and Sohail, I had a lot of fun, it was a
05:50very chill set and Salman was wonderful, very intimidating in the beginning because when you
05:56meet him for the first time, it feels like he's got an aura and then you know, he seems very
06:01serious but when I started doing the scenes, I think he was very chill and then we would eat,
06:07you know biryani used to come from his house, food used to come, it was Eid time, so I had a,
06:14I mean I haven't seen such a chill set.
06:19Who would you swap your life with?
06:25Interesting, Rekha ji, I think it would be so interesting to swap my life with Rekha ji,
06:33I think there's so much knowledge, wisdom, art, culture, she knows so much about all of this,
06:42that would be so interesting, she always looks so amazing, her sarees are always perfect,
06:47you know she has aged so beautifully and gracefully, I want to know her beauty secrets,
06:52I want to know what all she does for her beauty and she's such a fit actor, even at this age and
07:00it's amazing how she grooms herself and the way she speaks, the way she talks,
07:06I want to know all that, I want to know all those secrets.
07:11Who was the biggest prankster?
07:17I'm not sure anyone that I worked with is the biggest prankster,
07:21I mean Salman's set had a lot of pranksters, Sohail is a huge prankster,
07:26they used to keep like fooling people, making fun of people, all of that, other than that,
07:36I can't really think of people who are pranksters,
07:39Sanjay Mishra, my God, what a prankster, my God, he can pull pranks on you for days,
07:47it's crazy, he's hilarious and he does, he plays pranks very seriously,
07:53amazing, but I've been part of pranks that we've played on other people.
