NSW public schools to receive $4.8 billion in decade-long agreement

New South Wales will get a multi-billion-dollar boost in public school funding from the federal government. All state and territories except Queensland have now reached a deal with the Commonwealth under the better and fairer schools’ agreement. The landmark deal will support more than two thousand public schools in the state over the next decade. The 4.8 billion dollars represents a 5 per cent increase in federal government funding.
