00:00Just got myself a whole new workshop. This thing is absolutely huge, and I can't wait to show you guys
00:06But first off I want to show you guys where it first started from
00:11So this is me five years ago working on my own cars on my driveway. I'm gonna start on this side
00:17Expansion tank out just as a bit of a hobby and something I loved now when I worked on my friends or family's cars
00:23I used to do it in the restaurant car park
00:26Called spice 45, I guess I had a dream that one day
00:29I'd own a garage big enough that could work on these cars inside the YouTube stuff started escalating and as you know through lockdown
00:37I ended up quitting my job to do YouTube full-time
00:40But working on the cars on the driveway was always a problem when the weather was bad
00:44So I needed to take the next step in what I was doing which was to get myself a unit
00:50We got ourselves a unit this small unit was perfect for the amount of work
00:55I was doing at the time and to be fair
00:57We've built so many cars in there starting off with Volkswagen Golf R's and ended up on GT
01:043rs's and the space stayed the same but the cars we did got bigger and better every single time
01:10But as you guys know every single penny
01:12I make goes straight back into making this channel bigger and better because it's exactly
01:17What I enjoy and I think it was time to take my next big step the next big risk this

01:25Welcome to our new unit
01:32Here it is much needed space
01:35There's a lot of echo in there at the minute and this is literally fully empty
01:40We needed to move where we were at the minute. It was working. It was fine
01:44And we've done it for so long
01:45but the amount of cars the amount of projects that we take on and the fact that we're doing that's such a small little
01:50unit is
01:52Quite good actually, but now we've got so much more room to take on bigger
01:56Projects. We've got our own place. Now. This used to be full of pigs and now it's emptied out for us. So
02:03We've got a lot to do to make it around before we actually move in here
02:07You'll probably see the R8 which you might have seen given away
02:11Months and months back to the home improvement people
02:14But in here is I don't know how much square footage we've got
02:17We're trying to plan out right now where the ramps are gonna go or the lifts if you're American
02:22I think if we plan these videos, correct there the first car that we're gonna build in is gonna be pretty loud very loud
02:48The roads haven't been done outside yet, so we literally UK winter time
02:56Okay, so you've seen the unit now in a bare shell it's a big step for but now it's time to make it our own
03:04The first thing we're gonna need are the lifts which are being supplied by Ben pack some of the best lifts in the game
03:11You may notice the Ben pack lifts in a lot of the workshops
03:14I was going to in the US like DDE
03:18Tavarish's workshop even whistling diesel has been packed ramps
03:21So we knew was making the right decision and even though we do have this huge space
03:26we're only going to be installing three Ben pack two post ramps at the minute and
03:32You'll see why we've left the remaining space later on. In fact, you can see here at the back. It's already being built
03:39So
03:41Now that's the foundations put down for this room and a mezzanine and three Ben pack lifts installed it's already looking sick
03:51That is the Ben pack ramps in and that's just the start of it
03:55It is going to look absolutely mental when it's done
03:57But you join me now back at my home garage and you're about to join me on a track day now
04:04I'd love to take the GT3 RS, but it's not quite finished yet
04:07There's a small issue though this track day is at Donington, which is right next to an airport
04:12But even though it's right next to an airport
04:14The sound limit is a hundred decibel drive-by so your maximum you're allowed to be is a hundred decibel when you drive by
04:21Now each one of these cars is definitely going to be over a hundred decibel the mercy for sure v12 twin-turbo
04:28Straight pipe Gallardo for sure the McLaren
04:31Maybe there's a small chance the Rolls-Royce that definitely wouldn't be over a hundred decibel
04:38But we're not going to take that on track. The one car I do want to take on track though is this
04:42It's got a full front end PPF. So I know it's protected there. We've got some decent
04:48PS4 tires, I know this car inside out. It's had a good alignment and everything. The problem is this
05:01I
05:05Think well, it should have a solution for this. Let me go a bit. Well, I don't think it's going to be a proper solution
05:11We'll see we'll see now you can put these on to go on track. They don't look great
05:16I know but it might allow me to go on track. They go on the end of
05:21The exhaust it so we take those exhaust tips off and then we attach these exhaust tips
05:27Like that and then the sound actually gets
05:30Sort of pushed down to the floor rather than out into the atmosphere and these have little resonators in it
05:35Which this is all made for the JCR exhaust that I've got in it
05:38So that should make it quieter and if that does actually work and we don't get a black flag, they're good news
05:44So I'm going to install this and in the meantime, I think garage style are coming to install the floor
05:51At the new unit. Let's do it

05:55Another company that you've probably seen before and that's because I use these same floor tiles in my old unit and back over there
06:03I installed them myself because they're pretty easy to do but on a big place like this
06:07I got all the guys from garage style over
06:11As there was loads of little cuts, but they now had to do all around the ramps, which could get a little trickier
06:17But I think these floor tiles are going to completely transform the new unit
06:20Not only is it going to help stop the echo inside of there. It's also going to hold warmth a lot better as well
06:27Now I haven't seen it yet, but garage style in one day somehow have covered
06:33The whole unit now with the garage style flooring what we used to have in the old unit as well
06:39But this time I think it's gonna be even better. Well, I hope so. It's a massive space. I'm ready for the transformation. I'm ready

06:54Look so different. It's like completely transformed at all. What a difference. That's made
07:04That looks proper now, it looks like a showroom. Ah

10:02That a question that you probably gonna ask how come we didn't just build the unit at the house and work from home
10:09Where well, I like to have like a work home
10:13kind of difference and
10:16Working from home because I've got the gym there and I've got the garage there and edit from home
10:20I would literally never leave the house. And if I never left the house, I don't think I'll come up with any other ideas
10:25I think it would drive me insane. We are building something at the house
10:29Which is gonna be really cool, but it's not gonna be to work from well at least for now
10:34So everyone coming to my home every single day would just drive me insane
10:38And I know I would always stay late at home because I it I just want to finish the job because I just think oh
10:44If I just stay out till 3 in the morning 4 in the morning
10:48I could just roll into bed afterwards. Whereas when I'm at the unit, I do still have to drive home, right?

13:51People's cars seem to be louder than mine so
13:53I'm going to have a little go

13:59It's 2 minutes to 10 in the morning
14:01We got on track at 9 o'clock
14:03For the sighting laps
14:05And since then this is now my third lap
14:07You can see it on screen
14:09So really I'm just settling in now, feeling out the car
14:11Because it's the first real proper track day
14:13I'm driving the GT3 on
14:15And this car is like a computer game
14:17Right now I'm behind Liam in the purple S3
14:19Going down craner curves
14:21And I can already tell I can outbrake
14:23A lot of cars in this GT3
14:25And it's not bad at getting out the corners as well
14:27You can see Liam's Audi
14:29Puffing out a bit of smoke
14:31When the car is tilting to one side
14:33It's a pretty common problem for these SVs
14:35They get a lot of oil surge
14:37All the oil just swashing to one side of the engine
14:39There is actually ways to solve this as well
14:41You can put in baffled sumps
14:43But as Liam doesn't go on track too much with the S3
14:45It's not a problem we need to solve right now
14:47But on the third lap in
14:49The GT3 is doing really well
14:51And I know I can push this even harder
14:53Than what I'm going here
14:55We're going past Liam now
14:57And you can see I'm sort of shifting the car
14:59Around 7000 RPM
15:01And this car revs up to 9k
15:07And finally the last chicane
15:09Into the national track
15:11Before going onto the straight
15:13Where I'm short shifting
15:15To keep the noise down
15:17But look here
15:19The Marshall comes out
15:21And instant black flag
15:23I've just got the black flag
15:25Too noisy
15:27I knew it
15:29So I've just pulled into the pit lane
15:31And Marshall
15:33Bad news

17:09Now just by short shifting
17:11Where I think they're measuring the sound
17:13From which is on the straights
17:15But I've taken their advice and I've gone out with
17:17Somebody else and that's Ethan
17:19In the G81 M3 in front
17:21Which has got about 200 more brake horsepower
17:23Than the GT3 and you can already
17:25Tell I could be way later on the brakes
17:27Than him but getting out the corners
17:29The G81 just pulled away
17:31That's xDrive so it's 4 wheel drive
17:33Which really helps coming out the corners
17:35Especially with that extra power
17:37But I'm trying my hardest here to keep up with him
17:39And I can definitely take the corners a lot faster
17:41As well, coming right in
17:43Up to his bumper, going up the hill here
17:45On this right turn but just getting out
17:47Again, I'm getting done, I'm doing everything
17:49Just to keep up the pace
17:51And then there's a double right hander
17:53Over the brow of the hill, we then run into
17:55A bit of traffic and now my foot is
17:57Planted and the M3 is
17:59Just leaving me
18:01But then I suck it all back in
18:03When it comes to the corners
18:07Eventually, it got to

18:11And I'd had enough of lifting on the straights
18:13I was now confident enough to go for
18:15A full 10 lap, pushing the car
18:17As far as I dared to take it
18:19And oh god was this good
18:21If this is how good the GT3 is on track
18:23I don't know how the GT3 RS
18:25Is going to be any better
18:27And a lot of people are probably going to be saying
18:29You've got a GT3 RS which is a track car
18:31But you've took the GT3 on track
18:33Well actually
18:35If one of these cars was going to get any damage on the track
18:37It'd be a lot cheaper to repair the GT3
18:39Than it would be the GT3 RS
18:41So maybe it's more logical
18:43To use the GT3 as a track car for now

22:57It's away from us and it also
22:59Allows us to do little quick jobs
23:01Which keeps one car out of the way
23:03So we've got the BendPak two-poser here

23:07We've got some fully kitted out beta tools

23:11We're still yet to put a lot of stuff in

24:47And Ben Pack did the ramps
24:49Look at all these, we've got so much kit
24:51That we're going to have a nightmare
24:53Trying to find the tools for the next build
24:55But as we go through
24:57We've based this all on like an F1
24:59Workshop, when we went to Aston Martin
25:01F1 they had U-shaped workbays
25:03And we thought it was really cool
25:05Because they'd take suspension off a car
25:07And then they'd have the workbay
25:09Just there, we've widened it
25:11So we've got space for a camera
25:13And everything else but
25:15We've got all the workbenches
25:17All these
25:19Still yet to put stuff in them
25:21Liam's put our lights in so we can
25:23Do our arts and crafts
25:25On there and also
25:27You can see all of these, it's our acoustic paneling
25:29So like, it's going to keep the heat in
25:31And hopefully stop a lot of echo
25:33We're filming on an iPhone right now so we don't actually have
25:35The main channel camera with the microphone
25:37So it should be a little bit better on that
